Chapter 18: The confrontation against the boss monster begins. [Bonus chapter]

"Seriously...seriously, we're not going to face that!"

Stammered Richard with a dark expression, pointing to the huge shadow of the spider that had just appeared in the boss room.

David and Cristina slowly approached Richard, who was visibly frightened at the sight of such a monster.

"Let's execute the plan. When I say, shoot them with the arrows and we'll get out of here."

David whispered, and they nodded, although they were still nervous about the enormous pressure emanating from the spider.

They began to walk away as slowly as possible to avoid detection by Erik and Violet.

Thomas, seeing David and the others walking away, was about to scream. But before he could do so, Richard ran up to him and, in the blink of an eye, was in front of him, covering his mouth.

"HMMMHHM...."

"Shut up if you want to live."

Richard whispered in his ear.

Thomas resisted, forcing and biting Richard's hand in an attempt to break free

But...

"You damned slave, how dare you bite me, don't you know I'm the son of the guild leader, ahh you bastard!"

Richard couldn't finish speaking when he felt Thomas try to bite his finger off.

"Damn it, I warned you!"

Richard thrust his sword into Thomas' body, who was unable to utter a scream.

Richard's hand was stained with a crimson liquid, as was his sword.

Thomas' eyes gradually lost their luster, until he finally stopped breathing.

"Damn you! That's why I told you to shut up, you miserable slave!"

Richard growled and spat on Thomas' lifeless body in disgust as he examined his deep red stained hand.

"I just stained my hands with that wretched slave's blood!"

Richard wiped his hand in disgust and disgust, turned back towards where David and Christina were.

The thick cloud of dust began to slowly dissipate, revealing the spider's true form.

Once the cloud dissipated completely, only a huge spider, four and a half meters in size, remained, sending shivers all over the bodies of Erik and Violet, who were closest to it.

"Get ready!"

Violet looked back, but the moment she did.

'These damned sons of bitches'

Several veins stood out on her forehead as she saw the huge smiles on their faces, standing at the entrance of the monster boss room.

And she read on Cristina's lips that said, "Good luck surviving."

That only made the anger in her body increase more, rattling her teeth.

"Why were you suddenly silent?"

Erik looked back as he noticed the silence, and realized the reason for the silence.

"Oh..."

'So that's how I felt. Well, anyway, first we have to deal with this monster.'

He glanced coldly in the direction of David, who flinched when he met his gaze.

"Now break down the entrance!"

David shouted in desperation as he met Erik's gaze.

He felt death touching his shoulder and placing his cold scythe on his neck.

Christina shot arrows charged with magical energy at the edges of the entrance.

boom!

The entire entrance began to collapse after the arrows charged with magical energy exploded.

The entrance was completely sealed, leaving Erik and Violet all alone with the monster inside.

"So what do we do now?"

Christina looked at the completely sealed entrance.

"We wait until the huge spider kills them."

David answered in a cold sweat leaning back against the wall.

"But what if they survive?"

Richard commented, placing a piece of rag on the finger that Thomas almost ripped off, and as he remembered that his anger rose.

'Tsk, how dare that creep do this to me?'.

"It is impossible to survive the boss monster, so there is no need to worry."

"But if there is a possibility..."

"If that happens, they'll be completely exhausted, and we'll take advantage of that to kill them. We have their items, any more questions?"

"None."

David nodded with a smile. It was unlikely that a mage and spearman would survive without the aid of a tank and support to take on a boss monster.

David is sure they wouldn't survive this and he would get that spear that looked pretty unique.

'That spear is unique, I wonder how much they'll buy it for me'.

He had never seen such a spear in his life, and even if he didn't have the spear, he would have done the same, as he had been used to doing for a long time.

He had even forgotten how many people he had killed in this way.

That's why he wasn't worried about them surviving since they couldn't do so.

'Besides, that monster is not normal'

David with a smile on his face sat down on the ground. Now he has to wait for them to die so he can get his juicy reward.

'Now that they're gone, I can use my Final Energy without worry, but what do I do with this woman?'

Erik looks at the sealed entrance nervously, because it's his first time facing a boss monster.

He then looked at Violet, who despite looking firm her hands were shaking.

"What do we do now? Do you have any plans?"

Violet asked in a firm voice, trying to hide her nerves. She can't let her nerves get the better of her or it will be the end of her.

"I don't have any plan, because I didn't expect such treachery from that son of a bitch. do you have anything in mind to deal with that monster?"

Erik stood beside her, gripping the spear tightly. He looked at the appearance of the huge spider.

Its entire appearance is black with green which seems to be full of venom, and the highlight is its abdomen, which is dark green in color.

"Yes, to defeat this Blightwidow...."

Violet could not finish finishing her sentence when one of the Blightwidow's long legs attacked in that moment of distraction.

"Kyyyyee!!!"

"Shit!"

Erik reacted quickly, hugged Violet, and narrowly dodged the attack.

Boom!

The place shook hard and some stones started falling from the ceiling due to the vibration of the attack.

'Shit, we just didn't neglect a moment and that non-spider monster attacked us.'

He looked with a nervous expression at the damage from the Blightwidow's attack, they were only careless for a second and almost lost their lives because of a very small oversight.

"Woman, speak quickly!"

Erik jumped again to dodge the next attack.

Boom!

"That's what I'm thinking!"

Violet shouted upset, besides, she was thinking of many ways to get out of this one, and now she is in a situation where she has to have a quick judgment, not to do anything stupid.

Erik let go of Violet after dodging the Blightwidow's second attack.

"Have you thought of a way to defeat that thing yet?"

"Yes, I already have an idea, but I need your help."

"Then say it quickly now is not the time..."

Erik couldn't finish his sentence before he dodged the attack again and backed away quickly to get distance from the Blightwidow.

Boom!

The ground opened up from the strong attack of the Blightwidow, who was starting to get irritated that none of his attacks were hitting their targets.

"Now can you quickly tell me the way to defeat that monster?"

"The way is for me to cast a high-ranking spell on it."

"And how long will it take you to conjure it up?"

"I think about five minutes."

"Then get started on the spell."

"But are you sure?"

"Do it!"

Violet began to conjure her spell, unleashing immense magical energy.

The pressure around her increased, her hair defied gravity and so did the nearby stones.

Erik watched all this in amazement. He had not expected this woman to possess such an amount of magical energy.

'This woman is fascinating'

Erik thought, and little by little his opinion began to change as he witnessed the immense power emanating.

The Blightwidow felt the magical energy of the environment concentrated in a single point. Instincts warned that something was going to happen and it wasn't good.

"Kyyyyyyyyyyyeee!"

A high-pitched scream echoed, visibly shaking everything around him.

Erik focused on the spider and decided to test his new ability.

"[Curse of Chaining]"

He exclaimed with a big smile on his lips. At that precise instant, half of his reserves were depleted as he activated his ability.

Instantly, numerous portals opened out of nowhere around the Blightwidow, from which chains began to emerge.

Ching! Ching! Ching! Ching! Ching!

These chains wrapped around the spider's eight legs, completely restricting its movements.

"Kyyyyyyyyyyyee!"

The Blightwidow struggled in a desperate attempt to break free but was immobilized.

Erik cayó de rodillas y giró su mirada hacia atrás, donde vio a Violet completamente concentrada en el hechizo.

"Phew... This skill drained half of my energy and strength."

Letting out a sigh, he transferred End Energy into the spear, getting ready to attack.

"Kyyyyee!!!"

The Blightwidow, seeing that it couldn't move. From its maw, it began to release a green gas that began to melt the surrounding walls.

It was spreading all over the place, destroying everything in its path. Slime also began to fall from its mouth, which when it made contact with the ground left a huge hole.

"Now how do I defend myself from this?"

Erik, seeing the toxic gas spreading all over the place, began to spin the spear to create a gust of wind and prevent the toxic gas from reaching them.
