Chapter 103: Chapter-102
The heat was unbearable; the fire slowly spread, reducing everything to ashes. Amidst the chaos, a battle unfolded within the circle of ashes as Naruto and Endeavor clashed relentlessly, offering no respite. The shinobi delivered rapid blows to his opponent's stomach, who responded with a forceful stomp, creating a dome of fire.
"Ahg!" With hands covered in fire, the shinobi had to retreat, only to endure a downward blow to the face, sending him directly to the ground. Refusing to stay down, he turned to kick Todoroki's legs, causing him to stumble and fall.
Seizing the opportunity, the teenager grabbed the 'pro-hero,' spun around, and hurled him into the distance, crashing against a building wall, embedded in the structure. Endeavor let the fire surrounding him melt the concrete, allowing him to land on his feet, silently observing the brat's flaming cloth-wrapped fist crash into his face. Stunned, he was then grabbed and slammed hard onto the ground.
With labored breath, Naruto stepped on his opponent's chest, seeing him lying motionless for a moment. "What does it feel like? Being on the ground like the trash you are?" Smiling provocatively, the Uzumaki tore off Endeavor's suit, not caring about burned hands. Picking it up, he threw it against a nearby building, shattering windows and plaster walls.
"Ahg..." Giving a groan, Todoroki got up among the rubble, watching with fury as the brat approached. With a low growl, he made bluish fire cover him, screaming in fury as flames spread, burning the surrounding building.
Undeterred, Naruto ran, using an office table as a shield against the fire. When close enough, he threw the table aside and, mere centimeters from the redhead, delivered a devastating right blow to the face. "Come on! Don't tell me that's all?!" shouted the teenager, receiving a blow from Todoroki's left arm that sent him against a wall. Cheek burned, the blonde smiled defiantly.
"I'll wipe that smile off your face!" Raising his right arm, Endeavor prepared to fire a super-concentrated burst of fire. In an act of madness, the teenager ran against him, tackling him and crashing through remaining building walls. The opponents fell onto the city's main street, with Naruto still tackling Todoroki's stomach, lifting and crashing him brutally against the ground.
Without pause, Naruto grabbed the hero's professional suit collar, repeatedly hitting his face until the Uzumaki's fist bore bloodstains and burns from the fire covering his opponent.
"You feel what they felt now, unhappy!" With a final blow, the shinobi lifted his opponent, threw him into the air, and delivered a devastating right hand upon his descent, causing Endeavor to skid painfully across the ground.
Despite being the second-best hero, Endeavor planted his hands on the ground, creating a molten lava shield. Todoroki, breathing heavily, wiped blood from his mouth. Smiling euphorically, he met Naruto's unyielding gaze, realizing the fight wouldn't pause. "So, for her, he told you everything..." Standing up, he intensified the surrounding fire until the ground turned red. "If you want to make me pay so much for what I did, then come and show me what you can do, Uzumaki!" With a shout, he fired a burst of fire that condensed into a laser, heading straight for the blonde.
Stepping against the pavement, the shinobi broke part of it to act as a shield. However, the attack pierced through the concrete, hitting Naruto's right shoulder, causing a severe third-degree burn, darkening the flesh on his shoulder.
But far from stopping Naruto, it only made him drop Endeavor on the rubble and pass through the flames everywhere, running at full speed to prevent his feet from being burned on the red-hot ground. Smiling, he raised one finger of his right hand and shot a bolt of lightning that hit Endeavor directly in the chest, paralyzing his entire body.
Everything moved in slow motion for Todoroki. He watched as the shinobi ran towards him, landing a hard blow on his face, causing him to spit out blood and some teeth. Taking off from the ground, he was tackled again, slammed against a specific wall. Before he could even think, he received a punch in his stomach that took his breath away. Trembling with pain, he fell to his knees, and the fire enveloping the professional hero went out.
With a heavy breath, Naruto grunted in pain, looking at his burned left shoulder. Leaving it aside, he observed his opponent struggling to stand up on the ground without success. "This is for Shiori's mother..." Taking a handful of the redhead's hair, he kneed him, breaking his nose, causing him to gasp in pain. "And this is for your daughter..." Lifting him up, he grabbed him by the neck, smashing him against the wall. Then, he delivered a devastating blow to the face that buried Endeavor's head against the concrete wall, releasing his opponent and letting him fall to the ground, weakened and badly injured.
With a blurred gaze, Endeavor could only feel his consciousness gradually receding. Closing his eyes, he saw for the last time the cold gaze of the shinobi standing next to him in an imposing manner. "Damn you... Uzumaki..." With that last whisper, he closed his eyes, knocked out.
As for Naruto, he felt several drops fall on him. Looking up, he saw that the sky had darkened with black clouds attracted by the heat of the burning city. The rain was falling little by little, extinguishing the remaining flames consuming what was left of the city.
With a tremor shaking his entire body, Naruto held his chest. His entire body felt the wave of pain hitting him as he closed the first door he had kept open throughout the battle—the only way he could inflict so much damage on his opponent and continue fighting, ignoring the burns he gained with each hit. The adrenaline that the first door dispersed in his body allowed him to ignore the pain before, but now that he closed it, the feeling of pain returned tenfold.
Stumbling, he could only feel the small drops of water falling on him. With the water wetting his hair, he could only smile slightly.
