Chapter 162: Moving On...?

As their small keg ran dry and the night drew long, Kerl's eyes sank deeper into his skull.

"You… there's no way you truly did that. It should be impossible."

"I told you. Been there, done that. And it would've been even easier against that ba-ba-bitch," Rizz snickered. 

Kerl rubbed the bases of his antlers, trying to massage out the incoming migraine. "But… it should be impossible. How can a lv. 13–"

"I was lv. 9 when I confronted the beast." 

Nodding to the correction, Kerl closed his eyes. "It shouldn't be… Are you certain it wasn't a Winter Bison you killed instead of the Ice Bison?" 

"No. I killed five Winter Bison and one Ice Bison," Rizz whispered. "Too bad we had to leave the other three behind. I'm sure it would've helped our finances a bit." 

Kerrrch…

Kerl's chair creaked as he rushed to his hooves and leaned over the table. He wanted to yell but managed to keep his voice down.
