Kerl explained the text, not knowing that Rizz had finished reading the entire account.

"From what's written… I'm sorry to assume that the decision was made based on the pride of my ancestors, not the betterment of the tribe. This was years before we relocated to settle with the elkkin. It was my great-grandfather who moved the tribe to where we are now."

"Wait," Rizz interjected, "does that mean that wolf hunt happened where your tribe used to live?" 

Kerl nodded faintly. "That's also true. It was soon after that deadly wolf hunt that my father negotiated with the elkkin. They relocated and lost many in the migration, all to form this settlement and find more peace. Later, the cariboukin made a similar agreement with the moosekin." 

"Where did the tribe used to live?" Rizz slid the open map a bit closer to the deerkin.
