Chapter 39: A New Challenger Appears!

The bear threw its head back in pain. One paw swiped at the alien substance burning its eyes while the other tried to claim the goblin's life. 

But Rizz was already leaping back with a booming cackle. "Take that you hairy roly poly!"

While the bear shook its face like mad, Rizz launched a couple more spitballs at the paw guarding its eyes. 

At the same time, Rizz took a quick look at his diminishing skill and mana bars.

*At least it shouldn't go after Jaaga before chasing me,* Rizz thought to himself.

ROOOAR!!

A stronger, more powerful cascade of fear crashed into Rizz as the bear lowered its defensive paw. Stiff and stuck for a second, Rizz got a good look at the bear's eyes. One was red with irritation and oozing wrathfulness. The other, however, remained shut with a flickering eyelid.
