Tournament Part 5
After everyone had finished laughing, Goku and Krillin tried to walk back and have some more food. Yet the announcer stopped them again.
"Wait, it seems you two are wearing the same uniform, meaning that you are from the same Dojo. Might I ask who taught you two?"
"We were taught by Master Roshi. Can we go now?" Goku said as he brushed his stomach, which was grumbling.
"What!!!"
The whole crowd was put into silence again. Goku and Krillin didn't bother waiting anymore and went to the back. There was a 10-minute break between fights, so they would use it wisely.
"Hey, Krillin, be careful when fighting that Jackie Chun guy; he looks like he has a lot of experience," Goku said as he took a mouthful of food into his mouth.
"Oh, okay. Don't worry about that; I'll easily beat that old man, or my name is Krillin!" He said excitedly.
Goku smiled and continued to eat. 'I hope he stays that way forever because in the future, bro sucks no cap,' he thought.
Bulma and the gang went to get some food from the kiosks placed around the whole tournament.
"Next up, it's that short guy named Krillin. I'm putting all my money on him to win," Oolong said as he counted his money.
"Well, I'm placing my money on Goku's fight. There's no doubt about him winning his fight," Bulma said.
"I don't think so. I heard a lot of stuff about his opponent. They say he'd literally do anything to win this fight since he needs the money for his home village or something," Oolong responded. They picked a kiosk and bought tacos, with no bacon for Oolong and with extra bacon for Puar just to tease Oolong.
"Oh really, even if that's true, I'm sure Goku can win," Bulma said. Oolong shook his head and took a huge bite of his skewer.
"Well, I won't be betting since Yamcha already lost, so I have no reason to watch this tournament anymore," Puar said.
"Is it that surprising? I mean, look at the guy," both Bulma and Oolong said, leaving Puar speechless.
The next round was about to start, with Krillin VS Jackie Chun. Krillin got up and gave Goku a fist bump then walked out to the arena. Jackie Chun put away his porno magazine and went out as well. As they entered the stage, the crowd cheered loudly. The announcer came out with a widened smile.
"Alright, People! It's time for another round of good fights in this year's Tenkachi Budokai tournament! In the semi-finals, we have four fighters: Krillin VS Jackie Chun and Son Goku VS Namu!! Now let's start with the first Match. They're already standing in anticipation, so let's not take more time. Fighters, are you ready? Start!!!"
Krillin smirked, then he started sprinting towards Jackie Chun, who stood not doing anything. As he got near, Krillin leaped and came flying with a kick. Jackie Chun bent back, dodging the kick easily. Krillin landed on his hands and did a front flip and several other flips to gain some distance. Seeing as Jackie was still standing in the same place, he calmed down.
'Okay, I made that obvious; I should try to surprise him now,' he thought. He nodded to himself and went back with another sprint, this time moving even faster. He slid and tried to trip, but Jackie Chun simply jumped. Krillin pushed himself off the ground and met up with Jackie mid-air, sending a barrage of kicks that were easily dodged. As they descended, he did a spin kick to his head, but it was also dodged. Jackie removed one of his hands from his back and took him by the leg and threw him at the wall, which luckily was still within the arena's perimeter.
*Crash!"
He hit the wall with his back and fell forward as he groaned loudly. Krillin got up and checked himself for any injuries; he found that he was perfectly fine besides a few scratches.
'Okay, I think I should move faster; I might be able to take him by surprise that way,' he thought, dusting himself and getting back into position. Krillin's smirk remained widely spread on his face.
"Wow, would you look at that? Even though the odds are stacked against him, Krillin still looks pretty confident. Such fighting will; I've never seen before in all my years as a Tenkachi Budokai announcer!!"
- Shut the fuck up
"What did you say!!!" He asked angrily.
Back with the fight. Understanding that his normal speed wouldn't work on Jackie Chun, Krillin decided that going faster would work much better than normal. So he tightened his left foot, which slowly cracked the arena floor. Seeing this, Jackie Chun obviously knew what Krillin had in store. The question is, would he be able to handle it? The very next second, Krillin pushed himself from his spot; the force made him move at blinding speeds, drawing him closer to Jackie Chun faster than he has ever done. Jackie Chun could still see him, though. As his fist neared his face, Jackie stepped out of the way. Yet Krillin wasn't done; as he flew by, he held onto his shirt and pulled himself and spun around Jackie, then landed under his feet, where he slipped his legs trying to trip him. He was still moving at blinding speeds. As far as the crowd could see, Krillin had disappeared, and so did Jackie.
"What is this? Both Krillin and Jackie have disappeared. This has never happened before!"
Jackie dodged the trip by leaping. He kicked Krillin right in his face, sending him back. Krillin panicked as he saw how fast he was going; if he continued like this, he would easily fall off the ring. Thinking fast, Krillin punched his fist onto the ground.
*Crack*
He was now visible due to him losing speed. The crowd was very shocked to suddenly see him appear like that.
"Krillin has appeared again; umm, I can't explain what had happened honestly."
He removed his hand from the ground, and as he got up, Krillin's smirk slowly dropped into a frown. Feeling a bit angered by how casual Jackie acted. Yes, he hasn't used his full power, but he should at least try to act like this fight is important.
'Unless of course, he's just too strong,' he thought. That thought sent shivers down his spine. Looking up at Jackie and seeing his face with no emotions on them, Krillin couldn't help but feel shaken by this.
'It's as if I'm his prey, and I'm just getting him more hungry by playing around. I don't like this feeling,' he thought.
Suddenly, he heard the voice of Goku. "Krillin, use all your power; don't let him get in your head!! I know you can do this."
Turning towards the sound, he saw Goku sitting on the wall as he waved with a bright smile on his face. Seeing his friend's smile, Krillin began to feel calmer. He looked back at Jackie and smirked again.
'I won't let him get to me,' he thought.
"Oh, it seems that Krillin's spirit has been reignited. Will this be enough to win this battle?!!"
