"Why is that bastard here?!" Jeffrey exclaimed angrily.

"What is that man doing here?!" echoed Rina's dad, both reacting simultaneously upon seeing Victor beside Venedict's bed.

Rina could only slap her forehead in frustration, as she had expected that to be their reaction.

"Rina, tell me that I'm just seeing things now and that it's not that bastard man I'm seeing!" Jeffrey said, turning to face Rina, causing her to immediately become serious.

"Um... Jeffrey, it's a long story... but I hope you'll listen to me first..." Rina said, attempting to calm herself despite her nervousness.

Jeffrey also became serious and stepped closer to Rina to listen to what she had to say...
