Kai Syaoran could not let her die. He had taken her as his disciple and he intended to honour the commitment to the best of his ability.

He moved like a ghost and in less than a second, he was off the seat and behind Ran Lan. He placed his hands on her back and began channeling his qi into her dainty body.

His chaos qi easily entered her meridians and the fact that she did not resist his actions was of great help.

"Adjust your breathing to match my own." he said in a calm tone. His voice was filled with a soothing power that swept over Ran Lan's soul putting her in a state of complete concentration. After hearing Kai Syaoran's words, everything else fell away leaving only his words in her mind.

Nothing else mattered but these words.
