In Kai Syaoran's self created cultivation system which he called the Akron Dao Path,there were nine preparatory stages before one entered the first realm which he called the Mortal God Realm.In this realm ,one would have power equivalent to the Second Step of cultivation (Empyrean step).

Kai Syaoran was in the Mortal God Realm of cultivation and even this stage had nine stage .The first was the Lightning Spirit stage ,the second was the Water Spirit stage.The third was the Earth Spirit stage and Kai Syaoran was currently in this stage .He needed an Earth law expression ,something that embodied the earth laws in order for him to cultivate this stage .

He had devised a plan to use the earth core of the planet Yune on which he currently was .

Kai Syaoran had used his Heavenly Plunder art to eat away at the earth trasnforming it into earth qi that he used to cultivate as he descended deep into the earth towards the center of the planet where the earth core waited .
