Three weeks later, sitting facing his parents within his father's study, Orion bore a serious expression.
"Alright Ori, we've decided it's time you start cultivating. Though it's a bit earlier than the age we started at, we think it's the right decision."
"With your affinity, you'll need to reach the Ethereal realm as fast as possible so you can get your soul under control."
Though he didn't understand the cultivation stages of their Chaos Heavens, Orion nodded, the determination on his face apparent.
"In the case you don't want to cultivate, I'll simply cut you off from your origin, essentially crippling you. Without any connection to your origin, your affinities will wither away and you'll be able to live a peaceful life."
Shock appeared on Orion's face as he heard this. He couldn't understand why everyone was trying to dissuade him from cultivating.
Was he not the man that led the eldritch to the top of the world? The man who had killed the god of their chaos heavens? The man who had fought for generations against hordes of superior races? Was he not the man that had repeatedly lost his loved ones and rose back form their ashes as a stronger being?
If anyone understood the ruthlessness of the world, wouldn't it be him?
"Let's say I decided not to cultivate, who'd take care of the clan when you guys eventually ascend?"
Hearing this question, Hera sneered as she answered.
"You're not the toy of our clan, you're my son. Our son. The only thing that matters to us is your happiness and goals. Hell, if you wanted to become a farmer none of us would care. We Erebus uplift each other, we're not chains meant to tie you down." She answered, the flames within her eyes as bright as ever.
The events that happened before Orion's birth still as fresh as ever within her mind.
Hearing this, Orion couldn't help but smile as he felt a suffusing warmth spread through his body and soul. This type of love and affection was something he hadn't felt in aeons, literally.
"I want to cultivate." He stated, his gaze just as bright as his mother's.
The duo smiled as they observed their son's resolve and Will.
"Alright, let's start with the basics."
"There are five foundational cultivation Planes. Just like everyone, you'll be starting on the first one, the Plane of Acquisition."
"The Plane of Acquisition is divided into ten realms which are; The realm of Priming, Blood, Source, Ethereal, Law, Earth, Path, Heaven, World and lastly, Saint."
"The realm of priming is relatively simple. It is divided into seven stages where one undoes their mortal shackles and opens up to mysticism. To move on to the realm of Blood, you only need to reach the first stage but for optimal advancement, reaching the peak of the seventh stage is required."
"The way to undo one's mortal shackles is done through…"
"Moving on to the realm of Blood…"
"When you reach the Ethereal realm you'll have to make sure your soul isn't…"
Eros and Hera spent hours lecturing Orion on all the specific details of each realm as they gave him a plethora of advice based on their own experience.
The more they talked, the more Orion got excited as a totally new world was opened up to him.
The Heavens he was previously in could only be described as primal and uneducated compared to the one he was in. The cultivation system alone seemed so much more elaborate and complex that his blood couldn't help but boil in anticipation.
After the long lecture, Orion immediately rushed to the Clan's library as he now had access to it, spending days on end filling the holes in his knowledge and broadening his horizons.
In a flash, a week passed marking a month since Orion's dream incident.
Sat cross legged within a quiet forest, one of their clan's special training grounds, Orion prepared himself.
His hair lightly fluttered as the soothing winds of the world caressed his magnificent face. The bird chirped and sang attuned to Heaven's symphony as a picture of peace and tranquillity was painted all around him.
"If there's one thing I learnt throughout my multiple journeys, it's that if I want to reach the peak, following the conventional paths won't work. I'm sure all the Heirs of the other Heavenly clans all used special methods at each cultivation realm."
"Hm? If that was the case wouldn't mother have given you some special methods as well? " asked Vulkron as he lazed around in his chibi form.
"From the records I read, it's tradition within her clan not to help the youngins in any shape or form throughout their cultivation journey. I'm guessing dad just followed her logic. Either way I don't mind it."
"Alright, just make sure you don't mess up." Replied Vulkron as dozed off, the scenery around them way too relaxing for him not to indulge.
With a smile etched onto his face, Orion waved his hands around as a myriad of pinkish runes appeared, greatly stirring the world around them.
With a flick of his wrist, these runes formed an arsenal of spell circles that went on to brand themselves onto his skin, then soul and eventually, his very origin.
As soon as that was done, the runes immediately stirred to life as they devoured a huge amount of ambient qi.
Orion's smile deepened as he felt the amount of mortal shackles placed on him exponentially increase. The more qi the runes absorbed, the more shackled he became.
If any decently experienced cultivator had been here to witness Orion's madness, it would've been an understatement to say they would've been shocked.
Mortal shackles were called shackles for a reason.
This cycle seemed to go on for a while before the runes seemed to saturate and dissipate.
Instantly, the skies thundered as the earth rumbled.
The Heavens had sensed an act of Heresy being committed by a mere mortal.
The world became apocalyptic as tornadoes of essence formed all around Orion, signifying the imminent descent of a tribulation, something that shouldn't be for a mere Priming Cultivator.
"Hehe…"
Waving his hands once more, Orion formed a complex formation that went on to fuse with the soon to descend tribulation.
This act seemed to anger the Heavens even more as the previously grey clouds that had covered the training ground turned crimson, then obsidian, then green and finally, multicoloured.
Vulkron, whose eyes had only been widening as he realised what Orion was planning, suddenly burst into a fit of crazy laughter as he immediately released his cultivation base which solidly stood at the peak of the Mystic Beast God realm.
Sensing Vulkron's power, the Heavens churned with even more intensity, mistaking his power for Orion's.
The pressure that had descended seemed unbearable as the previous landscape became unrecognisable.
The trees had been uprooted, the land fissured and the birds slaughtered.
Looking up, Orion immediately recognised the specific tribulation lighting that would descend.
Myriad Heaven Annihilating Divine Lightning.
