He reached out to her waist, allowing her to sit comfortably on his lap.

"What's up?"

Norris Moore wrapped her arms around his neck. "Well, my daughter hopes you can accompany her tomorrow. Can you take some time out? She calls you daddy; you can't just not do anything."

Trenton Smith sighed lightly, appearing somewhat helpless, "I have a teleconference tomorrow."

Norris Moore looked at him and called out, "Trenton Smith."

Trenton Smith gazed at her face, then sighed deeply, "Alright. I'll go with you tomorrow."

She knew he couldn't possibly refuse her.

Norris Moore smiled and tried to get off his lap. Trenton Smith reached out, pulled her back, and embraced her in his arms.

Norris Moore leaned against him, feeling his jaw resting gently on her shoulder. His breathing was light, but for some reason, she sensed a hint of weariness from him.

She raised her hand to touch his face, asking, "Tired?"

"A little."

"Shall we go to sleep?"

"I have a bit of work left."
