Chapter 300: An Old Friend

Time had taken its toll on him. His frail body, supported by crutches, moved with a familiar limp. Yet, his gentle smile remained unchanged.

He moved forward from the crowd to greet her. 

His voice trembled when he spoke from a feeble frame, "Zhuyi… My dear… Is that you…? Are my eyes deceiving me…? Why, you've not aged at all…! I don't suppose you would remember this old man now…?"

She could feel the warm moisture pool around the rim of her eyes, as turbulent emotions were quickly overtaking her. 

This surely must be an illusion– Perhaps even a dream…!

Yet as Tuzi took her own step forward in his direction, while peering closely at his face, she knew it was not her imagination. The lines of aging upon his cheeks told her that he was truly here…

"Mr. Chang…" Tuzi whispered with emotion, as she approached him. "I… I can't… Believe that it's you, Mr. Chang…"
