Chapter 152: Reasons for War Part 2

The boy swallowed, his bashfulness coming to the surface. He was unable to meet the deity's eyes as he responded, "When I was at the southern market bazaar with my Dad… And also Nomin. I saw her… She was beautiful."

"She didn't see me though," he quickly added, before expelling a sigh. "But I knew she was my destined mate, as soon as I saw her…"

Taiga's face, though weary, expressed a dream-like haze from the thought of his mate. Unlike being love struck, he simply looked at ease with contentment.

Though he had an idea, Axel prodded the boy anyway, "Don't keep me in suspense. Who is it…?"

Looking off to the side, he answered tenderly, "She is the Moon Goddess."

Axel shouldn't be surprised by this, as he knew that Lady Tuzi had also visited the southern market bazaar around the same time. But he was amazed that the boy saw her, and recognized her as his fated mate. The coincidence of it all defied logic.
