Unnoticed by her, the shell had begun to emanate a subtle shimmer. Then, from its depths, a voice unlike any other resonated: a melody spun from moonlight, a song woven from starlight, breathtakingly feminine and impossibly beautiful.

"My friend… There isn't a day where I don't whisper these exact words into the night. I hope that you may find some solace in your heart. You are never alone, dear one."

Tuzi's eyes snapped open at the response, the somberness evaporating instantly. She sat bolt upright, staring down at the golden shell which laid in her palms. 

Who said that? Who was speaking to her?

A whirlwind of thoughts tore through her mind, their frantic pace echoing in the frenzied thump-thump of her heart against her chest.

It was the same voice that had responded to her previously, when she was attempting to communicate with little Xiao Bai. The one who had mysteriously inquired about the Moon Goddess.
