Chapter 63: The Moon Festival Part 3

The Goddess plopped her small frame onto a settee in front of the parlor fireplace and proceeded to nestle herself further into its plump cushions, in an attempt to get comfortable. Exhaustion was announcing itself upon her physical state, as the ceremony she performed for her human children tonight had drained her. 

Though deities usually do not enjoy being so depleted of celestial energy, as a matter of fact it is a pet-peeve of most gods because it leaves them vulnerable; This was an instance in which she felt her fatigue was worth it. Afterall, bringing world peace was not an easy task, and if the Goddess could grant it for even one night out of a year, the endeavor was rewarding.
