Lily didn't pay any attention to her and trudged toward the car.
Once the two of them were in the car, Sadie laughed.
"Alice, after last night, you shouldn't blame me anymore, should you? I think you should thank me. Wouldn't this qualify as being the matchmaker that you Eastonians talk about, hmm?"
Lily, sitting in the passenger seat, rested her forehead on her hand, "Sadie, I admit, I don't blame you."
What Sadie said was right; she couldn't even imagine replacing her last night's self with another woman.
"But Sadie, don't forget, he was drugged with blue poison. He has no clue who he was with last night... I really thank you, but only because you allowed me to have a beautiful dream."
Lily tugged at her collar and leaned against the window, a look of exhaustion on her face.
Reliving the warmth from four years ago was enough for her.
She wouldn't ask for too much anymore.
