The Empress looked out in confusion and saw a eunuch leading in a woman in her thirties dressed as a Daoist nun. Her facial expression subtly changed.
"Honorable Wuchen," Jiang Ning called out the woman's name calmly, "You are a nun from Pear Blossom Mountain Taoist Temple that met the Empress five years ago, and have been teaching her the Daoist practices since then, aren't you?"
Concubine Yu was greatly surprised: "Is the Empress also practicing Daoism?"
"Indeed."
Jiang Ning smirked slightly, "And those immortal pills that the Emperor has been ingesting are also provided by you, Honorable Wuchen, aren't they?"
Daoist Nun Wuchen knelt on the ground, trembling and silent.
The Empress angrily retorted: "Princess Consort, you are simply too presumptuous and reckless! So what if we, the Emperor and I, practice Daoism? Does the ancestral constitution and laws of Great Sheng state that the Emperor and Empress can't believe in Buddhism or practice Daoism?"
