As hours turned into a disconcerting wait, the atmosphere at Mirai's house grew heavy with concern. Azrael, ever the vigilant one, couldn't shake off the worry that gnawed at him. His eyes, usually sharp and observant, now reflected a flicker of uncertainty. Mirai, too, shared in his unease, her thoughts drifting to Gabriel, whose absence echoed loudly in the silent house.
