Chapter 25: The picked Alpha

I felt butterflies well up my stomach, once again, I was the only one standing. "Please, stand up, all of you. I do not deserve any of this." I murmured to them hoping they'll stand up and say that all this is actually a prank. I felt a light touch on my shoulder, it was Patrick, "With great power, comes great responsibility." He walked closer to me to whisper into my ear, "if you do not dismiss them, they will kneel here the whole day."

"Dismiss them how?" I whispered back. 

"Just say anything,"

"Okay..." I took a deep breath, "you all can go now, I need to speak with Aragon in private." The members of the pack stood up and went their separate ways.

  "What do you want us to talk about my leader?" Aragon said yo me after everyone was gone. His face was indifferent, but my face on the other hand was filled with annoyance. "What is the meaning of this?" I asked him with a frown.
