Chapter 39: Broken Amber

The pack was fighting outside the compound over my leadership skills. I didn't give a damn whether I was Alpha, but I wasn't going to let my father triumph. I had to maintain my composure to show that, despite my witch status, I was a capable leader. I was pregnant, which may have complicated things further.

The Lycan hunters are coming for Sarah. Leo stated as I moaned, "With our pack in disarray, we can't fight them. 

I said, Leo, come with me, and I'll show you how to take them down," as we left the house.

Daniel cried out, "Sarah," but I ignored him because I couldn't bear to look at him. "You can't just keep ignoring me!"
