Chapter 84: Chapter 084: The Fall of Madame Gao (Bonus Chapter)

Charles didn't pay much attention to Madame Gao's belated realization. Instead, he spoke, "I've already told you what you wanted to know."

"Now, shouldn't you tell me if you've found any traces of the Dragon Bone?"

Madame Gao gazed at the man before her, her mind racing as she pondered for a moment before saying, "I can provide you with the information you seek, but I request you to agree to one condition."

"I won't ask for my life to be spared or anything like that. It's a simple request, adhering to our nation's belief that 'a falling leaf returns to its roots,' I hope you will allow the members of the Hand to transport my body back for a proper burial."

"I imagine this request should be easy for you."

Hearing Madame Gao's intentions, a mysterious smile appeared on Charles's face as he replied, "Returning to one's roots, huh? I can agree to that request. However, you must share with me the information I desire."

At this moment, Charles couldn't help but think that sending back ashes could also be considered 'a falling leaf returning to its roots.' As for resurrecting her body? Madame Gao, you're dreaming.

When Charles agreed, Madame Gao breathed a sigh of relief. Because of Charles's Sharingan, it made his mental willpower exceptionally strong, rendering her unable to enter his mind or discern his true intentions.

She could only propose this straightforward request, hoping it wouldn't be rejected.

'High Table, Charles, and the Continental Hotel, get ready. After my resurrection, you will face the Hand's comprehensive retaliation.'

Madame Gao organized her thoughts and then slowly said, "I don't know where you got the information about the Dragon Bones, and I don't know what you intend to do with them. However, I can tell you for sure."

"The Dragon Bone is likely beneath Hell's Kitchen. As for the exact location, I haven't had much time in New York, so I haven't discovered it yet. However, I can confirm that it's somewhere in Hell's Kitchen."

Hearing that Madame Gao hadn't found the Dragon Bone yet, Charles wasn't surprised.

Given the time it would take for Madame Gao to locate and excavate the Dragon Bone from its location originally, it made sense.

He then asked, "Tell me the places you've ruled out, where the Dragon Bone couldn't possibly be."

Without hesitation, Madame Gao replied, "Certainly. I will now inform you of the places I've explored, which all turned out to be devoid of any trace of the Dragon Bone."

Charles turned to Ginny, who was still checking information, and instructed, "Ginny, please record everything Madame Gao is telling us."

Madame Gao proceeded to list the locations she had eliminated, offering some speculative areas where she believed the Dragon Bone might be located.

After completing her explanations, Madame Gao provided a phone number. She hoped Charles's associates would call that number to arrange the collection of her remains. Then, she closed her eyes, waiting for her judgment.

Charles observed that Madame Gao had provided all the information she was supposed to. He gestured to Iruka, standing behind Madame Gao, indicating that it was time to handle her.

Iruka approached Madame Gao from behind and swiftly ended her life by piercing her heart with a kunai. After confirming her demise, he nodded at Charles.

With everything done, Charles picked up the phone but didn't dial the number Madame Gao had provided. Instead, he called Charlie from the Continental Hotel and said, "Charlie, this is Charles's Agency. I have a special delivery for you."

After hanging up the phone, Charles turned to Iruka and said, "Iruka, accompany Charlie to the Continental Hotel. Ensure that you witness Madame Gao's remains being cremated and the ashes properly collected. Then, contact the person Madame Gao mentioned to have her 'falling leaf return to its roots.'"

Charles was well aware of Madame Gao's plan to resurrect herself, but he had no intention of letting that happen.

At this moment, Ginny had finished cross-referencing all the information provided by Madame Gao and approached Charles. She said, "Boss, I've completed the comparison of all the information."

"After eliminating the locations Madame Gao had investigated, there are three remaining suspicious locations."

"All three of these buildings were constructed by the Rand Group, as you mentioned."

"One of them has been abandoned for over a decade and never resumed construction, while the other two locations are the Hell's Kitchen Police Department building and an apartment complex, both built by the Rand Group."

"Furthermore, all three of these buildings were constructed before the plane crash involving the Rand couple."

Listening to Ginny's analysis, Charles nodded and then said, "Ginny, I'm assigning you a task. Go ahead and purchase the two buildings apart from the police station. With our assets, we should be able to do that."

"We'll start the excavation from these two buildings first. If we don't find what I'm looking for, then we may have to relocate the Hell's Kitchen Police Department."

Ginny thought for a moment and replied, "No problem, Boss. If it's just the abandoned building and the apartment complex, we can easily afford the purchase with your stock assets."

Charles shook his head and said, "No need to use stock assets. I'll handle it, and I'll let you know when the time comes."

He then took out his phone and initiated a video call to Kingpin.

"Kingpin, your commission is almost complete," Charles stated.

During the conversation, Charles positioned the phone's camera to show Madame Gao lying on the ground, revealing the kunai in her heart.

On the other end, through the video call, Kingpin saw the clear image of the kunai in Madame Gao's heart and exhaled a breath of relief. He replied, "Charles, your efficiency in handling matters is truly remarkable."

"I'll arrange for the remaining one billion as your payment to be delivered tomorrow."

Charles smiled and said, "Very well, let's consider it settled!"

After hanging up the call, Charles turned to Ginny and said, "The money will be here tomorrow."

Seeing that Charles had quickly resolved the funding issue for the building purchases, Ginny said, "Boss, once the funds arrive, I'll proceed with the acquisition of the buildings."

Charles nodded and looked at the four subordinates present. He then said, "The bounty for this mission is essentially complete. The remaining details should be handled by the assassins themselves for the reward."

"Now, let's discuss your mission rewards."

"Iruka, provide all the information about the Hand's members you've eliminated to the Continental Hotel. I have a bounty posted there, and you can collect your share."

Charles looked at the others and continued, "In addition, each of you will receive an extra $10 million as a bonus. Consider it a reward for this mission's success."

It had been a series of successful endeavors recently, and Charles was ready to generously reward his team for their efforts.
