Carmichaels was the first to leave the room, with his heart pounding, while the others remained frozen in fear.

Ian sounded nothing like himself, certainly not human, a farfetched notion in their minds. How could he not sound human when he was?

None of them dared entertain such thoughts but the fact was, he sounded so terrifying that the four remaining stakeholders had to do everything they could not to lose control. It was not like they were in any better shape before Ian's sudden roar. For some reason, even though they were all older than Ian, they felt very little in front of him.

The remaining four had no idea how they got out of the room but did find themselves out of it and staring in terror, at the solemn Murray within a few seconds, if not less.
