Wentworth stood there, bewildered by the sudden turn of events.
The owl, still perched on his sleeve, seemed to sense the tension in the air and trembled slightly.
"Oh, sorry! I'll give you my reply right away and make something delicious for you so you won't be lonely on your way." Wentworth said to the owl.
"Don't bother, dear! I'll get rid of this owl immediately; I think Dumbledore will know what it means!" Rosier ready her wand.
He couldn't understand why Rosier, who had been eagerly waiting for his admission letter to Hogwarts, now wanted to harm the owl.
"Grandma Rosier, what's going on?" Wentworth asked, trying to make sense of the situation.
"Why would you want to harm this innocent owl? It's just delivering my acceptance letter to Hogwarts."
Rosier's face softened, and she sighed heavily, her emotions conflicting. "Wentworth, you don't understand."
"It's not about the owl itself but what the letter represents. Once you step into Hogwarts, you'll be exposed to danger and manipulation beyond your imagination. Dumbledore is not to be trusted." Rosier explained with a sad expression.
"Sure, we were looking forward to the letter of admittance, but that's only to determine whether or not you have the talent for magic, my dear." Rosier trying to calm Wentworth.
Wentworth felt a surge of confusion.
"I see you are very interested in going to Hogwarts; although we don't go to Hogwarts, we can teach you any dark magic ranging from Imperioto Avada Kedavra."
Wentworth looked at Rosier with shock after hearing how easily she muttered the unforgivable curses.
Hogwarts, a place of wonder and magic, was now portrayed as dangerous.
He had heard stories of the dangers students faced, but he couldn't believe it was all true.
"But Hogwarts is a school for young witches and wizards," Wentworth argued. "It's meant to teach us magic and help us grow. How can it be so dangerous?"
Rosier's eyes filled with sadness and bitterness. "Wentworth, I wish it were that simple..."
"Hogwarts is a breeding ground for powerful figures who seek to exert control and manipulate the course of the magical world. As the Headmaster, Dumbledore holds immense power and won't hesitate to use it for his own purposes."
She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts. "And as for the sorting process, the houses are not just about camaraderie and learning."
"They represent factions and alliances within the magical world. Being sorted into a house can define your path and destiny, and not always for the better."
Wentworth was taken aback by Rosier's revelations.
He had always admired Dumbledore and the magical world of Hogwarts, but now, he was confronted with a darker reality.
In Rosier's heart, she simply doesn't want to see the descendant of her Master go into the school in which his arch-enemy had the most prominent influence.
It would be like sending a duckling into a pond infested with crocodiles, but in Wentworth's eyes, Hogwarts would be safer than the outside world.
"I don't want to believe that Hogwarts is dangerous," Wentworth said, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
"I want to learn magic and be a part of something greater. Isn't that what being a wizard is about?" Wentworth said with determination.
"Grandma Rosier, I've decided! I will go to Hogwarts because Dumbledore is there!" Wentworth said with a fiery passion in his eyes.
Everyone in the room went in awe over his statement, Rosier included. A mix of emotions on her face showed a hint of pride and a bitter smile.
"I know how you feel, Wentworth, but you are not strong enough to face Dumbledore..." Rosier said.
Rosier looked at him with a mix of compassion and concern. "Wentworth, you have magic in your blood, and it's a gift that can be used for good. But you don't need Hogwarts to learn magic. I can teach you, and so can the others here."
Wentworth was torn.
The allure of Hogwarts and his nurtured dreams clashed with the cautionary words of Rosier and the old wizards.
He knew he had a decision to make that could shape his future.
Wentworth knows his surname carries the weight of Grindelwald, making people that stand before him respect him no matter what.
"Only by learning from the strongest can one surpass their limits. This is my destiny, Grandma; let's write back to Hogwarts."
Rosier nodded understandingly. "Just remember, Wentworth, there's more to magic than what Hogwarts offers. Your path is your own, and you can choose how to wield your magic wisely."
The decision ahead weighed heavily on him, and he knew that whatever choice he made would be a defining moment in his life as a wizard.
The atmosphere in the room was heavy with mixed emotions as Wentworth stood firm in his decision to attend Hogwarts, even after hearing Rosier's warnings and concerns.
He believed that being around the powerful Dumbledore would provide the utmost safety.
However, unbeknownst to him, his family's history and Dumbledore's enmity had not yet been revealed to him, casting a shadow on his choice.
As Wentworth expressed his determination to learn from the strongest to become the strongest, Rosier couldn't help but admire his resolve and innocence.
She knew the path ahead would not be easy, and the burden on his young shoulders was heavier than it should be.
After a long silence, Rosier's expression changed.
Rosier wiped a tear from her eye and reassured Wentworth, "I understand, my dear. I won't stand in your way if this is truly your destiny. I just want you to be aware of the challenges you'll face."
With the owl finally returning to Hogwarts with their replies, Rosier approached Wentworth and put her hand on his shoulder.
"Take a good rest tonight, Wentworth; I'll take you to Diagon Alley tomorrow to buy everything you need for school." Rosier said softly.
"Grandma Rosier, I want to bury Libby..."
As Wentworth expressed his wish to bury Libby with respect and gratitude for her years of care, Rosier agreed to honor the House-elf's memory.
If it's not for Wentworth's request, she won't even think twice about burying him. Because, in her eyes, Libby had failed to protect Wentworth.
The restoration of Wentworth's room to its previous state signaled the end of the momentous discussion.
However, just as Rosier was about to leave, a flicker of hope shone in her eyes.
"Wentworth, do you want us to arrange a way for you to meet with Master? Although he is imprisoned, if we work on it, we can make the two of you meet." Rosier asked Wentworth.
She offered to arrange a secret meeting with their imprisoned Master.
It was evident that Rosier was willing to go to great lengths to help Wentworth fulfill his destiny as a wizard.
