Chapter 16: The Marchioness

According to the current timeline, after a month of summer break, he will attend the academy and enter his sophomore year. That would be the start of his so-called downfall because of the novel's heroine, who would attend at the academy in her freshman year because of her special admission.
'Special admission, my a**!'
If he didn't know the whole context of the world plot and his vague memories from his first life, he would also think that as well.
However, that is not the case.
'It would be better for me if I won't get involved in this world plot. I wasn't planning to attend the academy anymore and before summer break ends, I will disappear from this household.'

Eclipse snapped from his thoughts when someone knocked on his door and frowned at it but cleared his throat to answer.
"Who's there?"
'At the middle of the night? Seriously? Who would dare to knock on my bedroom late at night? I already dismissed the servants, and I know no one wants to serve me because of my reputation as a bad-tempered child.'
???; "It's me. We need to talk."
Eclipse; "!!!"
A familiar voice from behind those closed doors that made Eclipse stiffen for a moment as his blood boil in anger because of the audacity of this person to seek him out like this!
'What the f*cking hell?!'

'What in the name of…. This f*cking b*tch doing in here?!'
Eclipse almost exploded in anger at the mere thought of remembering what this f*cking b*tch had done to him and even if they were vaguely, he could remember from his first place but his whole system still had those lingering effect that left within him.
The dimensional traveler took a deep breath for a moment and calmed himself so as not to lose his composure and after that, Eclipse had an evil grin that plastered on his face as he looked at the door.
'Hmmm…. Not bad. Although it will trigger some of the traumas that I have in the past but if I wanted to take this person out then, that would be great.'
Although he said to himself that he wouldn't take revenge to those people who had harmed him in his previous life, especially to the heroine and her six male leads, it doesn't mean that he would spare the ones who make his childhood life miserable.
And that person is none other than…. the Marchioness.
'Who would have thought she brought herself into this place? I don't know what the Marquis told her, but this could create some opportunity for me to reveal her true colors in front of her dear children. That would be enough for revenge, right?'
For the Madam of this household to visit and wanted to chat with him in the middle of the night? Seriously? For a noblewoman like her, she couldn't even sense that something was amiss in this situation? Tsk!

'Wow! You seriously waltz inside to my room just like that? Tsk!'
Eclipse thought as he didn't hide his distasteful at the woman who just waltz inside to his room and walked around as if she owned the floor she walks into and the audacity of her to make herself at ease inside his own room.
'Just because you're the Marchioness and the legal wife of the Marquis doesn't mean you can do whatever you want! I still haven't forgotten what you have done, you wench, old woman!'
This distasteful woman in front of him is none other than CHARLOTTE AINSIELLE CHEVALIER, the current Marchioness, and the legal wife of the Marquis. She is the biological mother of Eclipse's older half-siblings.
From what he remembered; she came from the noble Count Fleener's household as the eldest lady. The Fleener household is a distant relative of the Chevalier household since intermarriage is a norm amongst the noble society.
'She felt entitled because of her status as the eldest lady of Fleener and now as the legal wife and the Marchioness of Chevalier household. Tsk! It would be fascinating to watch her dragged down from her highest seat into the mud.'
Eclipse didn't mask his distaste for the Marchioness as the old woman keeps on walking around like a some of peacock to flaunt her imaginary feathers.
"How have you been, youngest? Your Father and your older siblings are worried for you because of what happened earlier at the dining hall."
Eclipse snorted; "Really? Do I need to feel honored that dear FATHER and my dear OLDER SIBLINGS are now worried about me? Oh, come on! As if I don't know what your motives are, Marchioness."
The Marchioness, known for her elegance, loses her composure when Eclipse delivers a sudden sharp-tongued statement, causing him to smirk at her startled reaction.
'As if I'll show my weakness like before. Tsk! Just get the f*cking hell out of here! Your presence makes me sick!'
"How dare you—"
Eclipse cut off an insolent dog servant by the Marchioness' side and glared at him; "Silence! Who are you to speak to me like that?! Just because you're licking into the Marchioness' thighs doesn't mean that you're any higher than me, insolent dog servant! I might be an illegitimate child of this household, but remember, I still hold the Chevalier name while you're nothing but a dog who keeps on wagging its tail for its master! Know your place!"
He yelled at the servant, who dared to speak rudely at him as if he was anything higher than him! The audacity!
The servant that Eclipse yelled at, was now fuming in anger and wanted to refute back when the servant felt the cold gaze coming from its master and retreated from behind as he bow down its head.
The Marchioness, Charlotte, on the other hand, didn't expect this child to be like this.
She knew that something had changed within this child's presence the moment this child joined them at the dinner earlier. She didn't know what happened to him, but she will find answers now that she's here.
She sighed and tried to ease the tension around them and smiled; "Pardon my servant if he disrespect you. I'll make sure to punish him later on."
The Marchioness tried to look friendly as possible, but Eclipse won't buy it as he had a deadpan expression on his face.
"State your business, Marchioness." – Eclipse said bluntly as he looked at the person in front of him.
