Chapter 35: Don't trigger me

Arthur couldn't help but smile as he watched Chris and Suzy enter the living area, drawing the attention of the other family members. Chris approached his grandfather, offering a warm hug, and then gestured for Suzy to sit beside him.

However, not all family members were pleased with Chris's attention to Suzy. His stepmother, Patricia, couldn't hide her frustration. "Chris has once again ignored us," she complained, directing her grievance toward Arthur. "So does our daughter-in-law. We also exist in this family."

Chris finally turned his gaze toward his stepmother, a hint of exasperation in his voice. "You should understand that a cheater can never be a part of the Onetti Family," he declared, challenging her. "Since when did you get permitted to put your nose in my business? Are you that free now to care about me?" he questioned pointedly.
