"Did you like the food, Angelique?" Jules asked, seeing that the child did not finish the dish on her plate.

She could tell that the young girl was still feeling a bit edgy. But she could not blame her since, basically, they were strangers to her.

"It is delicious, Ms. Jules." Angelique courteously answered her question with a shy smile.

Nevertheless, she still saw the discomfort and fear in her eyes. But that was to be expected from a child like her. In her observation, she could tell that her grandfather had sheltered her too much.

In conclusion, she believed the little girl had difficulty adapting to the changes around her since she probably always stayed under her grandfather's protective shadows.

"I am glad you like it." Jules signaled for Philip to clear the plates and serve the dessert. "I hope you will also like what I made for you."
