"Oh, this is unquestionably one of the most delicious pies I have ever tasted," Philip exclaimed, mumbling with a full mouth while kissing his fingers to emphasize his delight.

She doubted if that was true, but since Jules seldom saw him act out of his usual stuffy character, she would let him get away with it. 

But it was nice to see him smiling and enjoying himself. Jules was also happy to see the other staff feeling less intimidated by his presence as they laughed with her.

"I think the last time I tasted something this good was when Madam Esme visited and cooked for Sir Damon," Philip remarked as he shoved another spoonful of the delicious treat into his mouth.

Hearing the sweet lady's name brought a pang of sadness in her heart. Jules believed Grandma Esme and Grandpa Louis had imprinted their presence in her life.
