Chapter 71: A Dangerous Night

The path had taken us to a dark, twisted forest. As the riders of the kingdom echoed through the night, I realised that the decision to choose Yuzu's home was probably the safest and most ideal choice.

"Akira..."

Rena was sitting beside me as we sat in complete darkness, waiting for the riders to pass. They were not necessarily looking for the girls and me because they were heading towards another outpost that was around forty miles to the east, but to be safe, we were sitting in a camp without flames in utter silence...

"It's okay... don't worry."

It was extremely eerie, but for some reason, my chest beat with excitement, a desire to chase the knights down and kill them to fight until I was covered in blood.
