Chapter 42: DEEPER DELVE INTO THE WEAVERS REALM

Emily looked at her phone and read the message again, this not being the first time she received such a message. She sighed as she dropped the phone, the screen fading to black. A break from her designs was needed, and meeting Robert and Desmond seemed like the perfect escape.

Emily made her way to the living room, and when she entered, she walked up to them. "Hey," Emily said, and they turned to look at her.

"Ah, it's the runaway bride," Desmond joked, and they all laughed.

"My protector, it's been long, how've you been?" Emily said, doing a bro shake with him as they laughed. While Robert was glaring at Desmond, a little jealousy in his eyes.

"I've been good," Desmond said, smiling.

Emily settled in beside Robert, who still looked grumpy. "Just a friendly handshake, no need to get jealous," Emily whispered.

Desmond observed them with a grin. "You two seem cozy."

Emily smiled, her hand in Robert's. "Yes we are."
