Morgana then waved her hand as she disappeared from Liam's sight. 

Liam tried to sense his surroundings but felt nothing as if she had never been there. 

But then her voice drifted on the wind, reaching his ear. 

"You better focus on raising the sync with your Arcanum Pendant, Liam. It will increase your strength faster than leveling up in your ascension path."

"Also, don't tell anyone my name, Morgana Hexshade. People here only know me as The Shadow."

"The Shadow? So, no one knows your gender here?" Liam mumbled, but he didn't receive any further response. 

He waited there for a while, then sighed and started moving through the forest. Without Tara following behind him, he could move faster and began using his stealth device.

Along the way, he hunted some monsters he encountered. 

As night began to fall, Liam made a small camp.
