Chapter 839: -828- Wisdom of Dun Scaith

North America's total area is approximately 24.709 million square kilometers, making up about 16.2% of the world's land area. It has a trapezoidal shape, wider in the north and narrower in the south, with a coastline that is intricate in the west and relatively straight in the east.

The region has numerous islands and bays, with the largest island area of about 4 million square kilometers.

According to the electronic map provided by Chaldea, the indigenous people reside on a southwestern island, nearly half of North America away from Rozen and the others. It's an exceptionally remote location.

Rozen, originally transferred to the central part of North America during a conflict between the northern and southern nations, summoned three wyverns using the "Summon Wyvern" technique. He also applied the "Invisibility Jutsu" to them, preparing to secretly traverse half the continent.

To avoid drawing attention, Rozen couldn't afford to have the wyverns fly visibly over the continent.

If they don't do this, the wyvern flying over the continent would be too conspicuous and undoubtedly get noticed, likely leading to it being shot down.

"That's an interesting spell."

Watching Rozen effortlessly summon the legendary wyvern and employ the spell of Invisibility, Scáthach's eyes lit up with genuine interest.

However, when the battle-crazed and god-slaying master stepped onto the wyvern's back, the wyvern unexpectedly went weak at the knees, crouching on the ground with a trembling appearance, much to the dissatisfaction of this master.

"Even though it's just a wyvern, it's still a dragon species. This appearance lacks determination," remarked Scáthach, prompting the wyvern to quickly spread its wings, roar loudly, and display its fierce dragon nature. Only then did Scáthach nod in satisfaction.

Witnessing this, not just Mash, even Rozen was left somewhat dumbfounded.

"This teacher is really..." Rozen finally expressed his amazement.

And so, Rozen, Mash, and Scáthach each rode on their respective wyverns, heading towards the southwest of North America.

It's worth noting that while Mash possesses the Riding skill, allowing her to smoothly ride the wyvern, Scáthach, without Riding, possesses something even more formidable.

...

Wisdom of Dun Scaith: A+

The wisdom gained by surpassing humanity, slaying gods, and placing oneself on the outer edges of the world grants proficiency in almost all skills at an A or B level, apart from the inherent skills of a hero.

Moreover, Scáthach, limited to those she acknowledges as heroes, can impart her skills to them. Among her frequently used skills in battle is the use of "Clairvoyance" to foresee the unfolding situation. In the Ulster Cycle legends, she often predicted the future through this foresight, including the fate of her beloved disciple.

...

Scáthach possesses such an inherent skill, making the so-called "Riding" skill utterly effortless for her. As the Queen of the Land of Shadows, she can use this skill to impart her expertise to others, allowing Rozen to learn the wisdom of the Runes from her. In addition to this, Scáthach also has two other inherent skills and a class skill.

...

Primordial Rune: —

Master of Norse runes, not the modern magic runes but the primordial ones with divine power discovered by the Norse god Odin. Holding eighteen primordial runes, she is both a warrior and a powerful mage.

God-Slayer: B

As the guardian of the Otherworld in the realm of shadows, this skill manifests the way of survival by slaughtering numerous gods. It has special effectiveness against gods, undead, and Servants with divine skills, providing an attack modifier.

...

These are Scáthach's two other inherent skills. Primordial Rune is a skill Rozen knew about from the start, so it's normal for Scáthach to possess it. The surprising part is that the skill doesn't display a level.

"I wonder how skilled teacher is in Rune magic."

Rozen expresses his thoughts.

Perhaps because she was summoned as a Lancer and not a Caster, the level might not be visible? However, even the primordial rune skill displayed by Cú Chulainn, who once manifested as a Caster, didn't show a level. Therefore, it's possible that a Servant's power level doesn't always reflect the level of the highest wisdom in Norse mythology.

The "God-Slayer" skill, on the other hand, makes Rozen somewhat uneasy.

"Fortunately, I didn't get stabbed during our fight."

Otherwise, facing this skill, the cloak transformed by Kinu might not have been able to withstand it.

As for Scáthach's class skill, it's a relatively common one among Servants - "Magic Resistance."

However, Scáthach's Magic Resistance is at an A level, rendering all magic below A ineffective against her. Modern magic can't harm her at all. Even Rozen, without using Primordial Rune, can't harm Scáthach with magecraft. Even jujutsu below the techniques with the essence of an immovable king, like the "Fire Realm Incantation," are completely ineffective against Scáthach.

This is what makes dealing with Servants tricky - possessing various rare and powerful skills and Noble Phantasms. Skills like "Magic Resistance," providing a certain level of immunity to magical damage and effects, are common among many Servants, making Rozen's majority of magic and jujutsu ineffective. This requires him to be cautious when facing Servants, even with strategic-level strength.

Therefore, Rozen aims to conceal his abilities as much as possible, engaging in battles with Mash until he can confirm the opponent's full capabilities before stepping forward. This is the best approach.

So, riding on the wyverns, the group swiftly crossed half of North America, finally arriving in the southwest before nightfall.

"Is that it?"

Rozen, half-kneeling on the wyvern's back, looked down.

There, a not-too-big island was situated in an extremely remote corner, very inconspicuous.

"The native people are on that island?"

Mash also looked over.

Scáthach, however, overlooking the island, her eyes flashed, and her expression gradually became cautious.

Because...

"D... Detecting a Servant response!"

On Rozen's wrist, Roman's voice surprised them.

"And, the intensity of the response is by no means inferior to Scáthach's, another top-tier Servant!"

Roman's words had just fallen...

"Boom!"

A dreadful heatwave swept out from a corner of the island.
