Entering the upscale Red Sun Hotel, Alex's eyes widened at the luxurious surroundings. The elegant décor and stylish furnishings made him feel like he was stepping into a different world. His suit felt a bit constricting, but he had to admit that he looked sharp. He gave himself a quick once-over before following Lilly and Kira to the private meeting area.

Lilly's mother, Michelle, was waiting there with an air of grace and authority. She extended her hand with a welcoming smile, and Alex shook it, feeling a bit nervous. He took a seat, his eyes flickering around the room, taking in the grandeur.

Michelle's voice was warm as she addressed him directly, "Alex, you look quite dashing in that suit."

Alex's cheeks warmed at the compliment, and he managed a shy smile. "Uh, thank you. You look, uh, very elegant too."

As the introductions and pleasantries continued, Alex found himself studying Michelle. She had an air of maturity and confidence that was both intimidating and intriguing. Once they settled down, the conversation shifted to the reason for their meeting – Ken and his dangerous experiments.

Lilly started by recounting the extent of Ken's activities, her voice determined. Alex followed, describing what he had learned about Ken's creations and the threat they posed. Michelle's expression shifted from curiosity to concern, her brows furrowing.

Michelle's voice was laced with seriousness, "I had no idea it was this grave. You've provided crucial information."

The gravity of the situation seemed to weigh on Michelle, and it was evident that she was taking their words to heart. Kira leaned in, her voice measured, "Just remember, Ken might have planted moles within the SBC. Be cautious."

Michelle's eyes flashed with understanding, and she nodded. "Thank you for the warning. I'll be vigilant."

The conversation transitioned into lighter topics as they ordered food. The tension seemed to ease as they shared stories and anecdotes. Alex found himself gradually relaxing in the company of these strong, determined women. Michelle's demeanour shifted from authority to warmth, and Alex felt a growing respect for her.

With the meal winding down, Alex and Kira exchanged glances. Alex silently communicated his readiness to leave, allowing Lilly to spend time with her mother. After a few parting words and smiles, Alex and Kira exited the hotel.

Walking down the bustling streets, Alex let out a breath. "Well, that wasn't as terrifying as I thought."

Kira chuckled, her eyes dancing with amusement. "Yeah, you even got a compliment on your looks. Nice blush, by the way."

Alex playfully nudged her shoulder. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up."

As they walked, Alex's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. He marvelled at how they were dealing with such a dangerous situation while also navigating regular life. He turned to Kira, "You know, it's a lot to process."

Kira nodded, her expression softening. "Yeah, but we're in this together. We'll figure it out."

Their footsteps fell into a rhythm as they continued. Alex appreciated Kira's reassurance – it was a reminder that he wasn't alone in this fight. They reached his neighbourhood, and Kira paused. "Remember, we're a team now. We'll face whatever comes."

Alex smiled gratefully. "Yeah, we will."
