I tried to suppress the horror in my heart. What my mother-in-law had just shown me made absolutely no sense. There were three Proroniecs in North America! And they were being treated like pets by a humanoid!

Proroniec were C-Rank monsters. Their origins were in Slavic mythology. They were believed to come from stillborn fetuses that were not properly buried. According to their folklore, their unrealized potential gave them immense power for a short period of time. 

I, on the other hand, feared them for another reason. The Proroniec were among the few monsters that had the innate ability to leave Hellsgate. Although they were weak compared to other C-Rank monsters, they were among the most infamous.
