Chapter 52: Confronting the Compromises

Silas knocked gently on Astra's office door, receiving her warm invitation to enter.

With a friendly smile, Silas greeted her, "Hey, how are you?"

Astra returned the smile, expressing, "I'm okay. I'm glad you're here; I wanted to talk to you about something."

Taking a seat, Silas inquired, "What's on your mind?"

Astra began, "I just wanted to share my feelings about something and offer my perspective. After that, you can do as you wish."

Silas nodded, feeling a hint of apprehension. Astra went on, "You and Mother always taught me the importance of working hard for everything, even though I was born into a wealthy family, right?"

Again, Silas nodded, affirming, "It's the best way not to take what you have for granted."
