Chapter 31: The New Sheriff in Town

"Everyone quickly heads to the company's auditorium. Make sure to bring your badges along. Once you arrive, you'll have to wait in line and follow instructions. Anyone without a badge will be turned away."

Silas was surprised as he listened to the public address announcement. Astra hadn't mentioned it during his visit to her office.

He swiftly grabbed his badge and entered the elevator. Upon reaching the auditorium's entrance, he noticed several lines forming.

At the front of the lines, there were six people with tablets, accompanied by someone who collected badges and handed out stickers with numbers on them. Employees received these stickers before being allowed inside.

Silas approached the front but was stopped by Violet, who grabbed his wrist and inquired, "What's happening? You didn't mention this announcement."

Silas replied, "I'm not sure."
