Chapter 7: Haram Unnie
The Sai court was teeming with people everywhere, the Deungdae students were obviously not the only ones invited.
Three rulers Seojun, Yoonah; ruler of the forest and Haram; ruler of water were also present alongside some notable guardians.
Ji-soo sighted Haram afar off on the pavilion where she was seated, browsing through the court.
She tried to get her attention by calling her name a few times but the noise that came from the crowd overshadowed her voice.
Fortunately, she was able to make eye contact with Haram who waved at her excitedly and signaled for her to come closer.
Haram was the youngest ruler in Sai. She was a very close friend of Ji-soo despite their age gap.
Although guardians were known to stop aging at forty Haram's case was different, she had stopped aging at twenty three which could explain her young looks.
Some said it was due to the fact that she became a ruler at an early age. Her powers and ability to control water were astonishing and exceptional even beyond there teacher's and as such she was proclaimed a ruler at the age of seventeen.
Ji-soo was finally able to shovel her way through the crowd and get to Haram who was patiently waiting for her with open arms.
" Unnie !!! " Ji-soo called out as she ran into her embrace.
" Oh my cutie pie, how are you? It's been so long, oh look at how big you've grown dear" Haram openly expressed while examining her body then gave her a little spin which made Ji-soo chuckle lightly.
" Ji-soo " a familiar voice called her name which made her instinctively react by turning towards the person who had called her.
Yoorim was running towards her panting and trying to catch her breath.
" Where have you been? I have been looking all over for you " Yoorim questioned Ji-soo when she reached where she was.
" So was I but I got a little carried away " She said pointing towards Haram who stood there observing them.
It was then Yoorim noticed the woman who stood beside Ji-soo.
" Oh hello " she greeted with a slight bow.
" Unnie meet my friend Yoorim, Yoorim meet my Unnie " she introduced them to each other with a wide smile on her face.
" I see you got yourself a friend " Haram said teasingly.
" Nice to meet you Yoorim " She continued and extended her hand for handshake.
Yoorim stared at the woman whom Ji-soo had introduced as her "Unnie", the woman in question looked way younger than she was.
Yoorim couldn't fully understand how she was Ji-soo's Unnie.
Nonetheless, she looked familiar but Yoorim couldn't place a finger on where she had seen her.
" The pleasure is mine ma'am " Yoorim responded and accepted the handshake.
Haram smiled to herself, it was like she could see through Yoorim, she moved closer but slowly to Yoorim and stroked her hair.
This made Yoorim flinch without realising it, Haram then patted her cheeks softly and said in a low voice.
" You are such a wonderful child ". She stared at Yoorim and back at Ji-soo before she sent them off.
" Okay girls, it was nice seeing you today, run along now and take good care of yourselves" She urged them.
" My baby girl, do take care of yourself okay? " She said as she leaned down to give Ji-soo a hug.
" Mmmnh I will Unnie " Ji-soo replied and giggled while letting go of her.
