Chapter 224: Chapter 225

Togepi sports a crown on its head, and the spikes adorning it have the ability to release toxins, allowing Togepi to master 'Toxic.'

Under Gengar's guidance, Togepi has successfully embraced the strategy of 'Substitute-Toxic-Protect-Paralysis,' now venturing down the path of the eternal 'Old Dirty Ratio.'

Luke halted his thought process, sending a shiver down his spine. Such a cute little angel, and yet, following the path of Gold's Togebo was not the way to go!

"Kek ke ke ke~~ ~~" Togepi, watching a video recorded in the 'movement learning machine,' swayed back and forth with joy, kicking its two little feet in excitement.

Gengar promptly set it straight again, playing the role of a delighted old father.

"Now Ghost Types can be dads!"

"Sure enough, Pokémon become more and more like their trainers..." Luke mused, glancing at Gengar thoughtfully and nodding.

Observing the screen in the 'movement learning machine,' Togepi's eyes sparkled with stars, eagerly anticipating the future.

From its time in the Pokémon egg, the intense battles and victorious cheers had made Togepi fully immersed. The gentle host, the adorable partner—these were the reasons it wanted to repay Teacher Luke.

It was said that Togepi's body radiated an energy that brought happiness to those around it. If it could continue growing stronger...

Togepi wiggled its finger and chuckled, "Kek ke ke ke~~ ~~~(❁´◡`❁)*✲゚." The host's face would also bear a happy smile!

With a flick of Togepi's finger, a vision of Future Sight unfolded before its eyes. It glimpsed into the future, witnessing battles on all fronts.

Wide-eyed, Togepi held its breath...

"Toot...~zzz."

Gathering its spikes, Togepi curled into a Pokémon egg and fell asleep.

"Well... fell asleep so soon?" Luke chuckled, looking at the peacefully slumbering Togepi on the sofa. "That's right... it's still a little child, and move videos might be a bit dull!"

Gengar, scratching its head, pondered Luke's words.

Boring move videos? Maybe it's because I didn't personally teach Togepi. With principles and actions, it won't be dull!

"Jie jie~ ~~o(*≧▽≦)ツ" Gengar grinned, patting Luke's shoulder in satisfaction.

...

November 1st, Sunday.

Three days had passed since the Orient Region finals concluded.

This morning, Gengar donned its "learning glasses," studying moves as usual, and suddenly scratched its head.

"Jie jie~?" Could it be my imagination? It feels like the efficiency has unexpectedly increased!

Luke carried Togepi to the children's chair. Unexpectedly, Togepi wriggled free again, slipping over to Gengar's side to peruse the newspaper together (crossed out)...

They studied move secrets side by side.

Little did Togepi know that it would follow its Trainer.

"This is too hard..." Luke pondered, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "Could it be that I'm truly a training genius?"

The "Fire Stone" prize from the finals had been stowed away by Luke, reserved for Growlithe when the time was right. As for the "Charcoal," it currently adorned Growlithe's neck, enhancing its perception of Fire Element.

Although the risk of house destruction seemed slightly elevated, trust between Trainer and Pokémon was essential. At worst, Luke would have Gengar accompany Growlithe in training until the house couldn't be torn down anymore.

Squirtle had begun its retreat to study the "Aura Sphere" under the old Principal's guidance, employing the unique method of seeking Aura in a secure fish tank.

Observing Squirtle's 'Turtle Qigong,' Luke couldn't help but twitch at the spectacle.

With Squirtle's cautious nature, there was little to worry about.

Sylveon, however, seemed not to have gained anything.

Luke wondered if Mina, the future Fairy Type boss, could offer insights on what might benefit Sylveon.

...

After breakfast, Gengar closed the Secret Records, casting a glance at Togepi.

"Jie jie~ ~!" Among all the students, this one pleases me the most!

Togepi beamed happily, presenting a 'Present' to Gengar.

"Jie jie~?" Gengar scratched its head, opened the box, and was taken aback.

The box contained potato chips and Coke, Togepi's most cherished Present.

"Kek ke ke ke~~ ~~(๑>ڡ<)☆"

"Jie jie~ !(´థ౪థ)σ"

Luke looked perplexed. The move "Present" had a chance of causing damage to the opponent. Given his luck, dismantling the Present might reveal a bomb!

Checking the Pokédex for the moves of both Pokémon, Luke was surprised. Togepi had swiftly mastered "Protect" overnight and in the morning. As for Gengar, it had learned "Nasty Plot" for boosting special attacks, a move that was expressed in the game with Gengar's head rising with question marks.

With Gengar's intelligence, mastering "Nasty Plot" was a logical and reasonable feat.

Observing the master and disciple, Koga, studying "Toxic Experience" on the sofa, Luke gazed at the sky. His Pokémon exhibited incredible innate talents.

"Ding! You have a new account record!"

A message arrived, detailing the Poké Company's earnings for the last month. Factoring in the Orient finals' bonuses, Luke could now repay Cynthia's debt. He nodded in satisfaction, proclaiming, "Getting out of poverty and becoming rich is just around the corner!"

...

In Celestic Town, Sinnoh, the sound of a crash echoed from the bathroom. Wrapped in a bath towel, Cynthia dried her wet hair. A drop of water descended from her white calf.

Despite the autumn chill, Cynthia indulged in ice cream as she initiated a communicator contact. The messages ranged from Caitlin seeking game console recommendations to Unova's Ghost Type Elite Shauntal recommending a novel called "XXXXX."

Notably, a message from Teacher Luke announced the repayment of the 5 million debt. Cynthia was taken aback by the promptness.

"So fast?" she exclaimed.

"The game prize money came through," Luke explained.

"I adopted a Togepi, a cute little fellow," he added.

Cynthia, having seen it on Twitter, acknowledged its cuteness.

"I won't rule out borrowing again in the future," Luke chuckled.

"Sure," Cynthia agreed. The ease with which a game could earn 5 million didn't escape her.

Luke then informed Cynthia about his company's new board game, prompting her interest.

"Since the debt is settled, I'll ask again next time if I need a loan," Luke teased.

Cynthia agreed, and Luke mentioned a piece of advice about eating less ice cream in the autumn.

Cynthia hesitated but eventually conceded, promising to try the game next time.

After hanging up, Cynthia stared at her melting ice cream, reflecting on Luke's words. No one had taken care of her affairs since she became a Champion, but what he said seemed correct.

With the moonlight casting a serene glow, Cynthia looked at Garchomp. Recalling the day Luke signed the promissory note, she smiled.

"Togepi was just born... I should prepare some Presents for him," she mused, deciding to teach Sylveon "Dazzling Gleam."
