That had been the most exposure I have ever felt in my life. Considering the fact, Demi always went out of her way to make me feel uncomfortable that was saying something.

The moment he was done, I lost my ability to look anywhere other than the floor. My pride had paralyzed my bravery.

I scooted off of the table as the joyful conversations continued around me. How did it suddenly feel like I was at a council party instead of a meeting meant to be my punishment?

It wasn’t like I could pinpoint what I had done wrong to deserve this. In the moment, the crowd only added to the intimacy between me and the men in my life. Now that it was over, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by everyone.

Goliath grabbed me by the arm and guided me out of the room without another word.

I kicked myself for not looking up to find Fate one more time before I left. Every step made my legs feel weak.
