Chapter 25: “Training 2”

Once he reached the beach he started running in a straight line at a moderate speed, and every 2 minutes he increased his speed enormously, just like the training before only this time he waited 1 minute longer, as running on the beach was much more difficult than on land.

As he ran he felt his feet digging into the sand and it was much harder to pull them out, which required a greater amount of effort, so after 1 hour he was already out of breath.

Running in sand, his speed was much slower than before, so he estimates that in 1 hour he will have run about 12km, or about 6km every 30 minutes, very different from his previous time of running 10km every 30 minutes. This was understandable as running in the sand was more difficult and his legs were fatigued from running for so long previously.

Yamamoto was out of breath and his legs ached from running so much and almost without rest, looking at the clock he noticed that it was only 12:30 noon, *It is impossible with my current endurance to train all day* though Yamamoto gave up on training all day.

So far he had trained for 5 hours pushing himself to the limit and only rested for about an hour and a half, which was the time it took him to make breakfast and lunch, he knew that if he continued at this pace tomorrow he would not be able to lift a muscle in his body.

It is also mentally exhausting, as it is not for everyone to train 16 hours out of 24 hours in a day.

He decided to train 10 hours a day, which would leave him about 8 hours free, so he was only halfway through the training. He would devote 2.5 hours to training spiritual energy and the other 2.5 hours to training with his devil fruit.

As he got up, his stomach roared for food for all the energy he expended, at a slow pace he headed to town to eat his third meal of the day which was going to be the same again.

As he was about to go home to cook, a person stopped him, "Hi Yamamoto-sensei, Clover told me you are training, I am cooking lunch for Robin and Apis do you want to join?" asked Olvia.

Yamamoto was a little surprised by the sudden invitation, and without a second thought replied, "Yes, count me in."

He was too lazy to have to cook after training for so long, plus it wasn't one of his specialties, so he accepted instantly. He didn't know if Hocha was still in the library so he decided to accept Olvia's offer.

"Well, that's good to hear" Olvia said with a smile, "And... you can go take a shower" Olvia added as she quickly left.

Yamamoto stood there looking at Olvia's back, *From now on I will take a bath when I finish training* thought Yamamoto with a strange expression as he went to take a quick bath.

After taking a quick shower he headed to Olvia's house, just as he arrived Olvia was setting the table. Robin seeing Yamamoto greeted him with a smile, on Apis' side she was a bit more shy, *It seems like this girl still doesn't trust me* thought Yamamoto as he sat on a chair, although it wasn't too weird since he only knows her a few days ago, still. Apis was different from Olvia and Robin who looked like she was a member of his family.

While they were eating Robin asked, "Grandpa when can I learn Kidō?". Hearing Robin's question, Yamamoto remembered that he had promised him that he would teach him Kidō, he was also a little surprised that Robin would remember this strange word.

After thinking for a few seconds he replied, "Tomorrow after I finish my training, I will teach you." He would start tomorrow and not today, since he did not train his Spiritual Power yet. When he finishes the Spiritual Power training today he will have a better idea, and what course he can take to teach someone else.

At the thought of spiritual energy training, he frowned as he had no idea where to start. Having Yamamoto's template he thought he would know how to train it, but he doesn't, he doesn't know if it's because his progress is too low to unlock that information or for another reason.

"Thank you!" said Robin happy that he could cast spells, although to achieve this she will first have to get spiritual power, "Can I too?" asked Olvia who was listening to the conversation.

"Of course you can" replied Yamamoto, as he had also told Olvia that he would teach her.

"Kipo? What's that?" asked Apis with some curiosity as she ate roughly.

"It's not Kipo, it's Kidō..." replied Robin then tell her when Yamamoto used the flashy spell to catch Kizaru.

"Awesome, I want too, I want too!" said Apis with stars in her eyes as she waved her arm at Yamamoto.

*Where did your shyness go...* thought Yamamoto because of Apis' exalted temper.

"It's okay you can join too... although it won't be a fun thing to learn" replied Yamamoto quickly so that Apis would leave his arm alone, and he could continue eating.

"Thank you!" said Apis with a smile, as she ate more eagerly than before.

He was feeling more pressure now, as he had to teach 3 people, and two of them were 8-year-old girls making it more complicated. As for Robin, he had high expectations of her and knew she could learn fast, as she was a very smart girl who learned to read poneglyphs. What worried him the most was Apis because of her playful and mischievous nature, most likely she would not last long.

What made the pressure much greater was that he still didn't know how to train the spiritual power, so between today's training and tomorrow he has to find an answer, or he will be embarrassed for promising something and then not being able to deliver.

With this in mind he finished his meal much faster, said goodbye and went to train spiritual power in a more distant part of town, to find answers.

As he stood in front of a tree, he began to think about everything he remembered about spiritual power or Reiryoku in bleach. First of all, the Shinigami have four basic disciplines employed in combat, all of which require controlled and exhaustive use of varying amounts of spiritual energy.

These are: The Hohō (agility) the most used technique in this discipline is the Shunpo, a movement faster than the human eye can detect, although to achieve it you must have a large amount of Spiritual Power and now he only has 5 measly points.

So he will not train Shunpo. Then there is the Hakuda that, although it is melee combat and physical strength comes into play, it can be enhanced through the Spiritual Power, in his fight against Zephyr he used this discipline and reinforced it with Spiritual Power managing to damage Zephyr. This would be a good way to train Spiritual Power, as it recalls the feeling.

Thirdly, there is the Kidō, its purposes are very varied, from healing to attacking an enemy, being able to communicate at a distance, locate a target or immobilize it. Lastly, there is the Zanjutsu (Sword Technique) although he discarded it since he does not possess his Zanpaku-tō or a good quality sword.

*To accomplish any of these things, I must first increase my Spiritual Power...* thought Yamamoto.

He didn't know how much Spiritual Power he would need to achieve a basic Kidō spell or increase his physical strength through spiritual energy. And he also didn't know how to increase his Spiritual Power.

The only thing Yamamoto could think of was to sit in the lotus position and start meditating, trying to identify the spiritual energy in his body.

After 15 minutes, he could feel absolutely nothing, opening his eyes in discomfort, he did not know how to proceed with his Spiritual Power training. Another way he came up with was to use observation haki training which was quite easy to replicate, he would only need to blindfold himself and have someone hit him until he felt the intentions of the blow.

*The system store!* Yamamoto thought, remembering that in this store there was a category of techniques and there might be one that explained how to increase the Spiritual Power.

He quickly opened the system store and went to the technique category and started to slide, *Yes there are a lot of techniques* thought Yamamoto while sliding.

After a few minutes of scrolling, he found what he was looking for, "Here it is! Reiryoku basic manual" said Yamamoto with excitement, while reading the name of the manual.

His excitement went away when he saw the price of this manual, which was 3,000 merit points.

"..." Yamamoto looked at the high price of this manual with annoyance, he thought that with Yamamoto's template, he wouldn't need to buy manuals of techniques that Yamamoto had already used, but apparently because of his low progress in the template he didn't unlock the methods or so he thought.

[ Are you sure you want to buy the Reiryoku Basic Manual for 3,000 merit points? ]

Yamamoto selected the option yes reluctant to spend 3,000 merit points, in the blink of an eye 3,000 merit points disappeared from his total and he now only had 600. Finally, the manual appeared in the items and he instantly withdrew it.

The moment he withdrew it, the manual magically appeared in his hand, *This is the first time I took out an item* thought Yamamoto curious about the magic method, so far he had only used intangible cards, so he had not experienced such a thing.

*Now if... let's get started* thought Yamamoto while opening the manual.
