Chapter 100: Dialogue First

As we stood still, held by the sight of the exotic cars that had just rolled into the courtyard, two tall men swiftly disembarked and opened one of the car doors.

Stan Morgan and Jenna alighted from the vehicle. Jenna's hair appeared disheveled, perhaps a result of the rapid ride or something else …. Jenna had always admired Stan Morgan, leaving me curious about what happened between them as she stepped out of his car.

"Jenna," I called out, giving her a questioning look.

"I had been waiting at the gate for hours!" Jenna exclaimed, her voice filled with sadness.

"You should have called me," I offered.

"When they prevented me from entering, I quickly reached for my phone to call you. However, they snatched the phone away from me, and I ended up having a scuffle with the man who took it," Jenna explained, and we burst into laughter.
