Chapter 64: Go to Hell

Slowly, I descended from the chair on which I had been standing and picked up the paper. With trembling hands, I unraveled the note and read its contents: "I'm sending you all my love and warmest wishes on this special day. I want to hear from you, please."

Taking a deep breath, I proceeded towards the inner chamber, a hidden sanctuary where I had stashed some paper. I retrieved a sheet of golden paper and a pen, and composed my response.

"Go to hell!" 

 I scrawled the spiteful words onto the paper, my frustration and anger fueling my hand. With a quick motion, I folded the paper and anxiously awaited Nadia's arrival.
