Sunshine fell to the ground. Everything seemed full of vigor. Though Bella went to bed very late, she woke up quite early. She was too thrilled to sleep because Amelia was out of the picture.
Bella stood in the yard. Sun shone on her face. Her make-up somehow made her look like a ghost.
"It's a great day, Amelia. Too bad you are not alive to see it," Bella said to herself.
Delilah woke up early and prepared a table of an exquisite breakfast for them. She was as happy as a kid in Chrismas.
"Come and have the breakfast, Bel."
Charles walked downstairs. He saw them and sighed deeply.
"What's the matter, dad? Something bothered you?"
"Your father doesn't know the good news. Tell him. He should be happy."
Bella and Delilah sat at the dining table happily. Charles glanced at the exquisite breakfast and then glanced at them. He was confused.
Did the cooperation with Grand Group pay off well? Or was there something good going on between Bel and the president of the Grand Group?
"Dad, did you watch the news? The one with the explosion of the abandoned warehouse in the outskirts last night?"
An explosion of the abandoned warehouse?
Charles was worried about his own warehouses on the outskirts. He was thinking about selling them just in case something would happen to them.
"I saw that news. Why? Did you come out with some ideas on how to get rid of our warehouses?"
Delilah shook her head, "No, our warehouse exploded and caused one death."
Charles frowned, "What did you say? Who?"
"Amelia."
Bella said in a casual tone with a sweet voice. She looked at Charles with a happy smile.
Charles's eyes were rolling fastly. He was shocked at first, but then he thought of this as good news. He had nothing to worry about from now on.
"For real?"
"Dad, I took her there and planted the explosives myself. Of course, it's for real."
Charles's worry turned into happiness, "That means we have nothing to worry about from now on? Haha, we finally get rid of her."
The family started to celebrate.
Meanwhile, at Ethan's mansion.
"Is this okay?"
After the professional stylists finished their job, Amelia walked in front of Ethan with full make-up and nice cloth.
Her face looked more radiant, and her body slimmed down a bit. After the stylists, she looked more classy.
"My face..."
"It's alright. You came back from death. You are a lot different than before, plus the make-up, it'll be perfect."
Amelia looked at the mirror. She touched her face. It was still her face, but after the make-up, she looked way better than before.
Ethan encouraged her. He was surprised by her. If someone told him that Amelia was a different person, he would definitely believe them.
"You should read some books about office work. I've already picked them out for you. They are in the study."
"I still feel worried... Though my appearance is different, I can't fake my character and preferences..."
Ethan put his hand on her shoulder and smiled. His look was earnest. He encouraged, "Rest assured. You will be fine. Amelia dead at the warehouse from that explosion. You are Sophia now."
Thinking about that, Amelia clutched her hands into fists. Her eyes were filled with anger and hatred.
"You are right. They killed Amelia. I am Sophia."
"Yes, you have already been reborned. Don't waste all the pain you've been through."
Ethan put a new ID card in front of her.
Amelia spent the following two weeks learning new abilities and getting familiar with her new identity.
Two weeks later.
"What do you mean, Mr. Frost?"
Ethan put some files on the table. Mike stared at those files. He didn't understand.
"I mean that we are going to hold a dinner party to welcome our new chief inspector, Ms. Sophia."
"Sophia?"
Mike was confused. He hadn't heard of this Sophia, but since Mr. Frost made this arrangement especially for her, she must be very important.
Ethan nodded lightly. He pointed to the files on the table.
"Yes. Sophia is an outstanding asset I found in our global internship program. She will be in charge of our new project. Give everyone on the list a notice. They have to attend her welcome party in Chinchol Manor tonight."
Ethan said seriously. Mike nodded, "Alright, Mr. Frost. I'll make sure they get the notice."
"What? A new chief inspector of the Grand Group?"
"Yes. We hope the Harper Group could attend this dinner party."
Bella hung up the phone. She sensed something unusual. It was only a chief inspector. Why would Grand Group go through this much trouble for her? Was there anything special going on between her and Ethan?
Bella couldn't control her expression anymore. She started to think about what she should wear to the party to out-perform the new chief inspector.
Ethan stood before Amelia and stared at her closely. After the training in the past two weeks, she had changed a lot. She looked more beautiful and classy. Nobody would doubt that she had just come back from a foreign country.
"Is this okay?"
Amelia looked at Ethan, and then she looked at herself in the mirror. The expensive evening dress on her made her seem especially attractive. It seemed like its price was worth it after all.
"You look great. Look me in the eyes. Relax, you are now Sophia. Amelia had nothing to do with you."
Ethan's eyes were so sincere. Amelia stared at his eyes. She could sense the trust and encouragement in them.
Amelia had died in the fire. The woman who came out from the fire was Sophia.
"Let's go. Remember, don't cast the familiar look on the people you know. They won't believe you are Amelia because of your current appearance."
"Do you mean that I wasn't good enough in the past?"
Amelia looked down and whispered quietly.
If she was so bad in the past, did that mean that Ethan only approached her for the Sophia she had been reborn into?
Ethan sighed. He touched her face and held her into his arms.
"Don't think that way. You were an untainted rose in the past. Now, you are a newly reborn rose. You look more aloof after all the tragedy you've been through, but you are still perfect."
Amelia smiled. She looked up at him sincerely. Her eyelashes were very long. Her eyes had more depth compared with her clear eyes in the past.
"Okay, from now on, my name is Sophia. Don't get it wrong."
