Chapter 52: 52. Making a prison with mom
"What did you find Harry? " Lily asked.
"Mom, Dumbledore took many controversial decisions when it comes to Hogwarts, he knew the staff would not support those decisions unanimously so he has been using loyalty potions and confundus charm to make them agree to his words. I think that being exposed to this, they have become especially vulnerable to my aura." Harry explained.
"So you mean Dumbledore...? " Lily asked.
"Evil? I can't be too sure mom. Dumbledore keeps his occlumency shield employed all the time, I know this because whenever I use my ability on him, it always shows there.
The biggest drawback of my ability is that it can't read thoughts. Dumbledore's every action seems to be done for the good but most of the time it yields bad results. Grindelwald, Voldemort, me, or anything.
I just feel that all of this can't be a coincidence. It's like we see someone doting a kid but that person's real aim may be to spoil the kid and make him useless. It's just that I can't be sure about it, I have no proof after all." Harry rubbed his brows in frustration. Lily too became silent.
"Harry, first let both the professors sign the contract like Grangers and Tonks.
And since you can't determine the truth, then prepare for the worst. Let's assume that Dumbledore is actually evil, the chess master and the dark lord maker." Lily said after contemplating for a few minutes.
"Then we are in deep shit mom. I'm no match for him right now and we might also have to fight with Grindelwald later, aside from Voldemort and Dumbledore.
But you are right. I should prepare for the worst. I just need to change my plans a little."
Harry took out 2 contracts and let McGonagall and Filius sign it. "Professor, don't oppose Dumbledore too strongly in the following period. I just want you to favour your house a little more just like Snape does. Don't corner him too much or he may really retaliate fiercely. Your safety is the topmost priority.
One more thing, check each other daily to know if you are under any kind of influence.
Whenever you want to do anything secretive, remember that Dumbledore can use time-turner to spy. If it's really needed then ask for Alfred's help."
They assured Harry that they will be careful and vigilant, then all three of them came out of his trunk. Harry pocketed his trunk and Flitwick escorted him back to the common room.
"Sir, one elf tried to spy on you when you were talking to the professors." Alfred reported after Harry went inside his room.
"Just as I thought." Harry muttered.
Taking out Vorn, Harry started to write a letter to Bogrod. After finishing with that, he started writing another letter but paused as if remembering something.
"Alfred, take me inside the space grids and then go see if Dumbledore gives any reaction to that." Harry was being very careful with Dumbledore now that he could not tell his intentions.
"looking at Dumbledore from inside the space, Harry found that Dumbledore did not give any reaction. making him sigh in relief but still to be completely sure, Harry asked Alfred to open a portal to outside of the Hogwarts wards while keeping an eye on Dumbledore's reaction. Again he did not show any reaction
Now Harry was completely sure that Dumbledore was only relying on ghosts, paintings and elves to spy on him. And even if Dumbledore kept control of the wards then by crossing it through space, he would not be notified.
"Alright Alfred. Go to the muggle world and search for some rapists. Stun them and bring them here discreetly. Remember, you must not be found by anyone. Can you do that??" Harry asked already knowing the answer.
Harry knew Alfred would be able to do it. If it had been any other house elf then Harry would have never trusted him with this kind of task but Alfred was unlike any other house elf in that he was very intelligent and had all the qualities that a perfect butler must have.
Harry did not have any option left after all. He had failed to consider that Dumbledore could visit Dursleys to know about him. leaving him with no option other than mastering legilimency, obliviate charm and memory modification.
After Alfred went away, Harry entered his trunk once again.
"Harry, this is the third time today you have visited me. I don't know if I should be happy that you are spending time with me or be sad that you are facing so many problems." Lily said looking at Harry.
"Well mom, I would have loved to just chat with you but I indeed need your help once again." Harry said bitterly.
"Alright, cheer up. I'm here with you. so what's the problem this time?" Lily knew that Harry would not come to her for small matters, so she was really curious.
"Mom, help me make a prison inside my trunk." Lily was dazed hearing the answer.
"Prison?" Lily asked again to confirm.
"Yes mom, Prison. You see, I need to modify Dursleys' memory of the past month. For that I need to learn legilimency, confundus, obliviate and much more. And to practice these I asked Alfred to bring me muggle rapists, so that even if I destroy their mind accidentally, it would not be a problem." Harry explained everything to his mother without hiding anything.
" Okay. so you want to make a kind of prison inside your unused trunk to keep them, right? "
" That's right." harry nodded in confirmation.
" For others, it will really be impossible to learn everything so soon. But I know it will not be a problem for you. Alright, bring that trunk here. Let's make a prison together."
'So what If I couldn't make sand castles with my baby in his childhood, I will make a prison with him this time.' Lily chuckled at her own thoughts.
