I held up my hand, watching my quirk covering it with immense focus.
Nodding in satisfaction, I pointed it to the other end of the room, where the normal three targets were replaced with dummies that were used in martial arts training.
Furrowing my eyebrows, I concentrated, it should have worked, the support weapon I looked up worked perfectly, so why didn't this?
I looked at my phone, observing the "Mec" the tech hero, as he used the same device that I was trying to replicate.
Going over to the instructions page, I started reading like a pleb. Seriously, who reads instructions?

Humming slightly, I noticed what was wrong... I needed to flick my hand...
1
I flicked my hand and watched as the black tendril lashed out at one of the dummies.
... With a deadpan, I got rid of that mechanism and retracted the tendril, only to flick it out again without any motion needed.
Huffing out an irritated breath, I pocketed my phone and made another vambrace. Shooting the two tendrils forward, they wrapped around the middle target, only to branch out to the sides and wrap around the other two and pull them together.
"... It's kinda freaky how easy this is..."
I mumbled, sweatdropping.
Dissipating my new immobilization weapons, I put my hands on my hips and exhaled.
This was getting tiring, physically.
I looked down at my... admittedly, chubby body, and decided that it was time to get my ass into shape.
... The training will be a pain in the ass before my stamina improves though... should not have eaten so much ice cream.
But... it's so good though.
___
"Why are you here, kid?"
I huffed out as I jogged, glancing at Anna who, somehow, someway, found out that I was exercising, and decided to join me, like the leech she was.
"We are the same age, Adam."
She responded like she always did. It was already a routine.
"Can't you fly? Why don't you train that?"
She huffed indignantly.
"My dad told me that if I don't train my stamina, I won't be able to fly for long, so I decided to follow you when you run!"
... That sounded kind of stalker-ish, but whatever, we were twelve.
I tried to regulate my breathing. Why the fuck did I eat so fucking much? Since I didn't go to the military I just let myself go...
"Can we take a break?"
I from and look at the sun... it should be about an hour... and some minutes. She is probably getting tired and to be honest I am too.
"Sure."
I shrugged.
___
"Adam, are you inside you're room?"
I heard a knock on the door and I slowly rose from the bed. It has been a month since I started training and I've been pushing myself, just a little.
By just a little, I mean that my body hurt in places I didn't know even had muscle.
1
I swear this was easier when I was older.
"Yeah, come in."
I called out, rubbing my neck and depressing a groan that would most certainly turn into a yawn.
1
The door opened and my mother walked in, holding a book in hand. I swear to god if there was another stupid reason related to heroes I will fucking shove that book down her fucking throat.
I furrowed my eyebrows as she walked closer, a serene smile on her face.
"Me and your father have been thinking-"
Have you now?
"And we decided that we are going to send you to Japan to get a higher education in UA High."
2
... Okay, at least it's about school, but seriously, does my opinion not matter? Well, it would be good to distance myself from the two, but I didn't think I would get the chance so soon.
"Uh, okay? Why Japan though? And what's U.A. High?"
She smiled and I got a bad feeling in my gut, that was aching like a bitch.
"It's a hero school in Japan where All Might went before coming to America, and since he went back there, there is a high chance that he will be teaching there in a few years."
Woman, in the name of equality, eat shit and die.
"Yeah, okay, it will be great."
I mumbled and plopped down on the bed again only to feel a weight settle down on my chest a second later.
Looking down, I noticed the book and grabbed it curiously.
