Chapter 22: Just a normal chat
munch! Munch! Munch!
A few minutes have passed and she is still eating and eating, she looks like a glutton now.
Am I seriously cursed to meet gluttonous people or is my cooking super delicious?
"This is delicious!" My new friend said while she ate some berries next to the fish and then drank water to cool off.
"Is it really that good?" I asked for.
I didn't know exactly how good my kitchen was, since for me it tasted pretty decent to eat, although it wasn't the best of all because of the materials I can get in the middle of the forest.
High Elf stopped eating while after swallowing she looked at me and said.
"Yes, it's delicious, it's the first time in a long time that I've eaten something so good in a long time" he said while on her face there was nostalgia along with a deep sadness.
I guess it must have been hard for her to be a slave.
It would be better if she didn't touch that topic for now.
Maybe? I will do it in the future but for now I will continue chatting longer.
"Well if it's that good make sure you fill your belly as much as you can" I said with an amused smile as I continued to eat my roasted wolves paw.
As we continued chatting I learned more about her.
"What is your goal?" Ask curious.
Faced with this question, the elven woman remained silent while her eyes fell on the ground as if she were thinking of something.
"I want to take revenge."
"Revenge with whom?" I insisted really curious about this.
"With my little brother."
Hope for?
Revenge with your own family that must be brutal or good not so much, even before being sent to this world it was normal to see relatives retaliating.
Some for money, others for inheritance, even for a couple.
For anything really, albeit leaving that aside.
What surprises me is the reason behind his revenge.
"Because?" I asked again to which she simply sighed as she began to tell her story of how she ended up as a slave.
While listening to her story, I find out that she was the heiress of a noble family in the country of elves, and she would be the next head of the family but her younger brother became jealous.
It seems that he hated her for having a great talent for magic and sword while he didn't.
One day she had gone out into the woods to play with her brother who took her to a remote part and then the slave traders began to come out.
She was sold to them for her own blood at the age of 8 now she was 23.
It must have been hard being a slave for 15 years.
When she finished telling her story, she was sad for the life she had to suffer and now she understood it a little better.
"I'm sorry for asking."
"Don't worry, I know you didn't do it out of malicious intent, you were just curious" she said as she finished eating, leaving the place in silence.
Looking at the sky I see that it was clear so it would be a good day to go to clear my mind or take a walk in the woods instead.
"Excuse me but I know it will sound rude but may I know the name of my savior?" High Elf asked making me blink.
It's true I never told him my name.
"My name is Matias and I'm a vampire" I said briefly.
"Now can I know yours?" Faced with this question, the elf remained silent while she shook her head.
"I don't have a first or last name now," said csrizbaja.
"Because?"
"When they put the necklaces on you, you lose your mark like your birth name and last name," she explained.
I see; Maybe after you put the collar on and it takes effect your name is erased at the same time that you are unable to remember Hmm...? It's like I have some kind of amnesia or something similar.
Although it is not a problem, I can give her a name but it depends on her.
"I see.... So do you want a new name?"
At these words, High Elf Archer's face looked at me hopefully.
"Y-can you give me a name?" she asked herself hopefully.
"Yes" was my short answer.
"Then please give me a name" she said desperately.
At this I sweated anime-style before clearing my throat.
"Hm~m, what do you think of Valery's name?" I offered.
"Valery..." High Elf Archer tested the name listening to the sound and intonation of it before nodding her head.
"Yes, I like that name. From now on I will be called Valery" she said with a happy smile.
Damn she's too beautiful!
Again I felt the same feeling from the beginning, my heart is pounding while I felt a little dizzy.
Although seeing her smile she made me feel good about myself.
'I want to see her smile more' That was my thought.

Hearing a bark, I snapped out of my thoughts, noticing that Fenrir was next to Valery who just bowed her head before lifting him up with her arms.
At this the little wolf simply stuck his tongue out of her while happily wagging her tail.
I guess even Fenrir was quick to take a liking to Valery now?
Smiling a little, she pondered what I have to do now.
Although now that I can defend myself I should go to a city or something and start studying the history of this world.
"Valery" I called causing her to stop petting my pet.
High Elf, seeing that she had been called, looked at me.
"Where are you going now?" I said curious.
At this she just shrugged.
"I don't know, I don't know this forest well" she replied.
I see, maybe I can convince her to come with me so that she has someone to talk to.
Talking to myself will cause me to go crazy.
"How about we travel together?" I offered something fearful for her response.
"Travel the two of us" Valery said slowly while thinking about my offer.
He was a little scared that she would answer no and end up as the lonely young man in a forest with his strange pet.
Luckily her response made that concern clear up.
"Okay, we'll travel together, besides it's not like I have a place to call home" she said sadly.
I guess she's still affected by the issue of her own brother selling her into slavery.
No doubt if she ever bumps into her brother I'll make her truly regret it.
Anyway, leaving that matter for later now the important thing is to go to a city.
"Valery, do you know where there is a city?" I asked him curious.
Before my question, I noticed how Valery's face frowned a little before nodding several times.
"Yes, a few kilometers to the east of here I heard from a merchant that there was a city" Valery said while pointing to Asia where the east is.
"I see, let's get going then" I said as I stood up.
Conjugating water magic put out the fire and destroy the campfire.
Before my action, Valery didn't say anything and just stood up to start walking.
I wonder what kinds of things will come in the future?
Although I didn't know it at the time, that simple question that crossed my mind would lead me to a lot of trouble in the future.
