The image of Lady Ray dissolving into the water guardian did not surprise Alex. Somehow, he had a feeling that he was being tricked from the very beginning.

The lack of surprise on Alex’s face was refreshing for the water guardian to see. He could now understand why Lad Ray felt so amused by this person and why she showed such naked interest.

But that did not mean he approved of Lady Ray’s interest or this outsider. He wanted to kill this outsider as soon as he could.

“You are a bold one. Do you not realize the kind of situation you are in? A flick of my finger would be enough to kill you.”

The water guardian bragged but Alex was not afraid of him. The fear inside Alex refused to surface in front of this man.

“If you were out here to kill me, then you would have already done so. The reason you are threatening me and not doing anything is because your hands are bound by something. Did your lady Ray forbid you from killing me?”
