Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Burned

As the the dark tower began to crumble under the physical assault of the two dragons, a figure walked out of the collapsing building, a large white horn with magical symbols adorning it was held within one his hands.

Pyat and Xaro both were shocked by the scene in front of them. After the tower fully collapsed, Flamebird breathed a large fire breath of the ruins, ensuring that not a single magic circle was left to cause unnecessary deaths, but also to make sure the foundation was destroyed.

That way the tower wouldn't be able to be rebuilt in that location so easily. Both Flamebird and Nightwing were angered that they had such trouble in destroying the large tower. This wasn't to say that they were weak or anything.

The tower had been around for hundreds of years, it was built during the height of magical knowledge, so it was constructed with several magical characteristics. It would be durable, gaining even more durability the more sacrifices that were performed within the walls.

It also had shielding that helped defend the tower from dragons and magic, and allowed the warlocks within to absorb more magical energy, causing their internal reserves to grow as well as calming the mind to allow them to concentrate easier, improving their learning capabilities.

It was built to withstand an army of dragons attacking, so considering that, the two were actually doing much more damage than if even hundreds of regular dragons attacked the tower together.

Once Aiden crashed thru the tower it weakened the spell circles that had been built within, thus allowing Flamebird and Nightwing to be able to begin doing serious damage to the tower.

Aiden walked forward, his eyes set on the man responsible for creating such a weapon that was highly dangerous. He could pick out Pyat from his aura, it matched the aura of the horn he held in his hand. There were few things that truly angered Aiden the most, mind control was one of them.

To strip someone of their free will, to basically enslave not just their body, but also their mind went too far, especially if it was being used against his own people. Aiden squeezed the horn, shattering it into dust which caused a magical explosion of dark energy, all of which was absorbed by Aiden to ensure it wouldn't poison the area.

The moment the horn was destroyed, Pyat felt the backlash. He aged several years, looking like a typical warlock. He never needed to use a glamour spell like most warlocks, the horn made of dragon bone had kept him looking young.

He had created the horn after killing a dragon and its rider, using a taboo spell, he had taken the soul of the dragon and its rider to infuse it into the horn, which is what allowed it to actually be bonded to himself. He did this to ensure that only he himself could use the weapon.

A unexpected gain was that the bonding had caused him to look somewhat normal, it cleansed his magic within his body, though not as good as a true dragon and their rider thru their bond, but it was enough to keep his whole body from turning blue from the drinks the warlocks loved. It was only his lips and mouth that had turned blue.

Now that the horn had been uterly destroyed, those effects were lost, causing him to age and his skin to turn into a dark purplish-blue color. Instead of looking like a typical human, he now looked like a wrinkled monster.

Seeing Pyat turn into a hideous looking thing, Xaro let out a yelp. He thought that the man in a strange armor had turned Pyat into what he had become. Xaro fled the scene, running as fast as he could, he didn't want the same thing to happen to him. No woman would want to sleep with him if he was turned into the same, no matter how much money he offered.

Pyat's anger grew, his prized possession, home, and all his research were gone in an instant. He decided to make his escape for now, a tactical retreat, he had many powerful friends that owed him favors. If he could get away, it wouldn't be difficult to plan revenge on Aiden and all who were close to him.

Just as Pyat and Xaro tried to run several men and a woman stepped out front of the two, weapons drawn, ready for action. Especially Gerion, Brightroar in all its simplistic beauty gleamed in the sunlight. He was in front of the warlock while Oberyn and Ellaria stood in front of Xaro.

The merchant prince knew he wasn't getting away, so he quickly dropped his sword off his hip, hoping that he would be able to negotiate for his life. Pyat however didn't plan on giving up so easily, he knew that his life would be forfeit if he did.

Warlocks were hated by everyone, not because of their looks, but because of their actions. The terrorized everyone; children, adults, rich, poor, commoner, nobility. None of that mattered to them, no matter what a warlock did, none would go against them out of fear of retaliation.

Pyat conjured forth a fireball, as well as casting an illusion spell towards Gerion, he was hoping to kill him but his main goal was escape. He was so much in his own thoughts of escape that he hadn't paid attention to the type of sword in Gerion's hand.

Had he realized that the sword was a Valyrian steel blade rather than a regular sword, he wouldn't have used magic. There was a reason why Valyrian steel was so desired, it was a magical steel itself. It could be used to defend against magic.

Valyrian steel would never dull or rust, could cut thru other metals like they were paper, and could protect it's wielder from mental attacks such as charms, illusions, and mind control just by holding it.

It was why when Valyria was in its heyday they made full sets of armor as well as weapons, that way they would always have basic protection from magic, even if they weren't holding their weapon in their hands, the armor itself would shield them.

Thinking that the blond haired man in front of him was caught in the illusion he had cast, Pyat sprinted towards Gerion, not straight at him but in a diagonal route to run past him, then released the fireball.

After he released the fireball he used a spell to increase his speed, as he ran past Gerion he gave the man a smirk, his bluish-black teeth on full display, until he noticed the sword swinging towards the fireball.

Gerion on instinct, slashed at the fireball, fear evident in his eyes since like most people he feared magic, especially magical fire. Typical fire and fire created using magic were not the same. A iron sword could handle a regular fire, it would just heat up over time, but a magical fire would instantly destroy any metal, except for Valyrian steel.

Brightroar cut the fireball in two instantly, both halves sailed past Gerion's body, the one half, to Pyat's shock, sailed right into him, instantly catching his robes on fire. Had he not used magic to speed himself up, he wouldn't be in line with the fireball. Pyat let out a scream of pain as he used his magic to put out the flames before he was killed by them.

He stumbled forward and crashed to the ground, what he didn't notice was that one of his legs had been removed by a red laser beam that had been fired from Aiden's eyes when he saw him trying to escape.

"I love this sword!" Gerion shouted in both shock and happiness.

He thought he was a goner for sure when he saw the fireball coming right at him, tho he didn't know magic himself, it was common knowledge that you didn't mess with three kinds of fire; wildfire, magic fire, and dragons fire.

Wildfire was dangerous due to it stuck to everything and couldn't be put out by normal means, similar to napalm. Dragons fire was the same as magic fire but on a few higher levels. Valyrian steel could only protect you for a short time from dragon fire if at all, it depended on the size and age of the dragon that breathed it, as well as where it hit.

If you were hit in the front of the helm by a small dragon, although you would mostly be protected you would still die due to the flame would go through the slots in the helmet, such as the eyes and mouth. But if you turned your head so that the side of the helm was hit instead, then you would mostly be fine, you may have singed eyebrows from the heat but you'd live.

Pyat was now practically naked on the ground, his robes were all but destroyed by his own attack, his blue skin already started to bubble from the burns. He was in so much pain he had yet to notice his left leg laying a few feet away, he was focused more on trying to heal the burns that covered his body.

Gerion too was more focused on his families sword, sparkles shown in his eyes as he brought the blade to his face and kissed the flat part of the blade multiple times. He felt close to the sword, as if he and the sword were one.

In a sense they were. This was another advantage to Valyrian steel swords, ones that had been passed down from generation to generation. Although the sword itself had no consciousness, it was still a magic sword that could recognize it's owners. It could give the wielder better instincts and even feel lighter to the owner, easier to use.

The longer the weapon was owned by the family, the more they used it, the more the weapon would adjust to suit the owner. It was why in the original timeline, when the Lannisters killed Ned Stark and stole the Stark ancestorial sword 'Ice' and had it reforged into two seperate swords, it felt strange and clunky to them.

Eventually, had Jaime kept the sword and trained with it and battled with it rather than giving it to someone else, it would've recognized him and been easier to use. He thought it was too heavy and unbalanced due to he had to use his left hand since his sword hand had been cut off, but it was mainly because the sword was keyed magically to the Starks.

Xaro, seeing what had happened to the warlock began to shiver in fear, he began to plead and beg for his life, especially when he saw both dragons circling above.

To everyones shock, both dragons shrunk back down and landed on Aidens shoulders, both glaring at the screaming warlock who didn't dare move. Any movement caused excruciating pain throughout his body.

"Oi, nephew, since when did you get another dragon?" Oberyn called over curiously.

Like everyone else he was shocked to see an ice dragon, they were one of the rarest dragons of this world, mainly because of their lifestyle. They would live in arctic regions and preferred marine wildlife for food, so they were rarely seen.

Fire dragons preferred land based wildlife, though they would eat marine animals too if they felt like it, but they didn't really like the cold, so they were seen way more often. Not only that but fire dragons were easier to tame than ice dragons.

"Nightwing has been with me just as long as Flamebird, but he prefers seclusion over exploration, so he mainly stays around Kandor." Aiden answered back as he looked into the minds of both Xaro and Pyat.

Seeing just how corrupt both men were he felt disgusted, so many innocent lives were taken by both men. While Pyat had sacriced many innocent lives to gain power, Xaro sacrificed many girls and women for his own pleasure.

Aiden recognized Xaro from the visions that he saw back on the Isle of Faces, when the Old Gods showed him what was supposed to happen. Xaro had played Daenerys, he was nice and friendly to her while all the other council members refused to help her.

But in secret he was plotting against her, he wanted her body, mind, and dragons. He tried to get her to marry him, telling her he would help her reclaim her throne in Westeros, she almost agreed too. It was only thanks to Jorah Mormont that she didn't, he warned her that she wouldn't be accepted as queen should she take a foreign husband so she ended up refusing.

Had she agreed, she would have regret it, he had very bad intentions for her. He would've definitely helped her, but not before she suffered at his hands. If you thought what happened to her with Khal Drogo was bad, what Xaro had planned would've made that seem like a day at the beach.

He resented the upper class simply because he was jealous of them being born into a better life than him. So he always targeted those of noble birth or of high standing, he would rape and torture them, mentally break them, turning them into pets.

That's what he would've done to Daenerys first, once she submitted and became his pet, then he would've helped get the throne in Westeros, he would be king anyway with a pet queen that obeyed his every word.

"Uncle Oberyn, make these two suffer as much as possible before killing them. I need to go help some people." Aiden said as he began to float up and head to Xaro's palace.

Oberyn's face took on a serious expression, he clearly heard the anger in Aiden's voice so he knew this guy was a not as pitiful as he was making himself seem.

"With pleasure nephew. My love, why don't we practice your poison torture on these two for a bit, I know you have been working hard at reading that book I stole from the Citadel years ago." Oberyn stated as he grabbed Ellaria's ass and gave it a squeeze.

Hearing this Ellaria's face brightened, she had been reading a very detailed book on various poisons and she had just finished the section on poisons used for torture.

"I would love to dear, I could use the fun. How about we have fun together, there is something I want to try out and see how it works." Ellaria responded with a smile.

"Oh, what might that be?" Oberyn asked curiously.

"Just wait and see." She replied back while giving Xaro a sadistic smile that sent shivers down his spine.

He tried to get up to run but Ellaria was quicker, she threw a dagger which stabbed him in the leg, he dropped after three steps, she had coated it in a fast acting paralytic poison, so he could no longer move his leg at all.

As the two poison lovers prepared to have some fun in their craft, Aiden had arrived at Xaro's palace. As he began to free the women held within, he knew that now this city would have no leadership, he tried to think of a solution.

Then he had a crazy idea, 'I wonder if Angela would want to come to this world. Things have not been going good for her since she woke up from our fight, not only did she regain her memories, but she found out that her closest friends had knowingly lied to her all her life, and now those angels have been hunting her, Spawn, and me. Maybe those two would want a break from the modern world. Can't hurt to ask.' Aiden thought as he made his way towards the pleasure barge owned by Xaro.

That was were he held the ones he had yet to "break", 'If she doesn't want to, perhaps this ex-queen that Xaro purchased will be willing to run this place.' Aiden felt either one could work.
