Chapter 1047: Good In-laws

Amused by his wife's smug expression, Li Chenmo chuckled and said, "I will clean the kitchen. You can start setting up the pots and woks."

"Okay."

Both of them divided the task and started working. While Li Chenmo swept the floor and tidied up, Lu Jueyu took out additional firewood and stacked it neatly in the corner. Next, she retrieved large woks, pots, and bamboo steamers from her space.

She also brought the water vat placed in the public kitchen into her space for cleaning. In less than a minute, she reappeared with the cleaned vat, which she filled with water from her space for cooking purposes. 

Water for washing dishes could be fetched from the well nearby. So, she didn't bother to prepare the water.

It took over an hour for them to clean and prepare the kitchen. Just as they lit the fire to boil water, they heard noise coming from the warehouse direction.

"Wife, wait here. I will check the situation out," said Li Chenmo.
