Chapter 44: Casiano Occupies My Thoughts

"Alla, what is this...?"

Alla hadn't yet noticed the smattering of love bites trailing down her neck until she saw Maggie's astonished gaze.

She hastily covered her neck with her hand, bowing her head in embarrassment.

"I...I..."

"Was it Mr. Roman who forced you?"

Mr. Roman's gaze had always been predatory when it came to Alla.

Maggie had intended to warn Alla about him yesterday, but, being preoccupied with the wedding and entertaining Vincent's relatives, she hadn't found the opportunity.

Now, seeing Alla return in such a state, she was even more convinced that Mr. Roman had mistreated her.

"Alla, tell me the truth. If he really forced you, I will confront him!"

The mere thought of Alla being violated by a lewd man infuriated Maggie to the point where she was ready to storm into the kitchen and grab a knife.

Alla quickly intervened: "Maggie, it wasn't Mr. Roman."

Maggie paused momentarily, "Then, who was it?"

This was a topic that Alla didn't quite know how to broach.
