As Andrius estimated, their ships arrived in Vrenada at noon and were welcomed by King Stefan. Many female mages had huge smiles on their faces upon meeting Vrenada's vampire king. 

The beam on the women's faces can also be seen on Elsa, Arla, and Rylie, causing their partner's faces to turn sour. In the case of Elsa, it was Hoven and the rest of Chris' elite alphas who expressed their protectiveness in the place of their true alpha.
